Maf

Recommended Posts

Hello there

My '95 8v corrado has for some reason decided to use more petrol. After trying the easy solutions - empty the ash trays, cleaning the mirrors, etc. the time has come to take the more technical approach. I decided first to try and clean the MAF, but having examined it, I can find no hot wire to clean. Does the MAF work on a different principle? there does not seem to be anywhere to squirt the cleaner.

Any help would be welcomed

There's a black rectangular cover on the side of the MAF, held on with 2 Phillips screws. Take that off and you can see the wire, if you are cleaning it make sure you only use contact cleaner and not WD40 or anything else.
