Well on the other hand its still running lumpy and hesitant tested the h.t leads and they seem fine. The engine changed sounds as i pulled them one by one...any way of checking the isv valve? I want to upgrade to the vr but i want this one running smooth before i sell it

MY FAULT - I SUGGESTED THE MAF!

There you go :)

ISV-wise simple enough to remove - couple of hoses and a lead then use carb cleaner overnight to soak it. There give it a rinse with cleaner again in the morning - refit and it should behave itself a little better.
