ryan_welshman 10 Posted May 28, 2014 Got a 9a 2.0 16v and I think I need a new tps as the engine is running very lumpy, rich and wont hold throttle Tps part number on it says 048 133 154, vw cant supply me, anyone suggest where to buy one or how to test my current tps to see if thats the problem? lesarcsneil 0 Posted June 1, 2014 From memory (from a few years ago): The throttle body has a 3 pin sensor and 2 microswitches. One of the switches is closed at idle, one is closed at full throttle. I measured the resistance between 2 of the 3 pins. It should be close to zero Ohms when each switch is closed. As there are only 3 pins it's pretty easy to figure out which pin corresponds to which switch. If the resistance is not constant then it's likely to be a broken microswitch.
