Whats is and where to buy the right coolant sensor for 9a 93 2.016v ?

Hi guys. Im trying to find a coolant sensor for my 93k 2.016v 9a engine. The local dealer was no good and ive tried many places online too. I had part no vw026906161 but thats the wrong part apparently ?

 

Im well confused on this simple matter

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction,thanks.

Dealer should be able to find this information easily, but most are too lazy. Could you elaborate on which sensor it is, and where it's located on the block and I'll try remember to look on the parts catalogue for you later.

 

Just sticking the VW part number into Google turns up a whole bunch of results so it seems to be a legit part number.

HI Jim. Yeh I think itsa lazyness problem.VW west edinburgh couldnt find a coolant sensor ?

 

Micks garage said they didnt sell them even though they are on their website ?

 

Then called East edinburgh vw. They said they couldnt find it either? so gave them the vw 026906161 for golf.

 

He said it will fit as its for a 9a. So maybe thats the one ?

 

£43 dealer price Lol.

 

This could still be wrong though ?

 

Its the coolant sensor,white twin pin located on the right side of block directly below the side water flange.
