Heater Matrix Replaced now a small electronic fault any ideas? Solved relay 79 :)

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I changed my heater matrix on Saturday which thanks to guides from people on here was not as bad as first thought just a real time consuming job.

Anyway on building the car back together when I now remove the key from the ignition the fans, wipers and a water pump continue to work.

I went out Sunday disconnected the battery and it stopped however after driving the car today it has started doing this again.

Has anyone got any ideas before I have to go and pull all the interior apart again.

Many thanks Nick

Thanks for the advice :)

I changed the ignition switch as a precautionary measure and still no luck.

Does anyone know what relays to look at as I am exceedingly rubbish at automotive electrics :)

Thanks Nick

Just to let you guys know the problem has been solved.

Relay 79 behind the glove box she moved was clicking uncontrollably. The Clicking in turn gave power to the heater fans, wipers and a pump in the engine bay.

The relay has now been replaced and all is good :)

Thanks for all your help guys Nick
