Best price on Koni Coilovers

Recommended Posts

Looks like Konis have moved to the top of my next mods list. Founs out today when changing my rear top mounts that the rear suspension is still the original red sachs shocks with the lowered springs. That'll explain the understeer im getting then considering its Koni TA's on the front.

So wheres the cheapest place to buy Koni coilovers?

Do I need anything else to fit them or do they use the standard top mounts? (Theve all been recently replaced, and all bushes are powerflex.)

Moving this to Suppliers forum seeing as though you're after a place to get them.....

Hopefully attached, if I can find it, is a list of the suspension parts that you can change.

Personally I'd just get the nuts and bolts, top mounts and the bearings.

Im pretty sure Dick Dastardly got his from http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/ so im waiting on a price back from them as well.

Do u know if your going to have the vr at Kames on Sunday? wouldnt mind that passenger run before commiting to coilovers.

I had thought about them, especially as theres a group buy on clubgti just now. But, theres been a few conflicting reports from reliable sources on them and with the Konis I know what im getting so I think id rather pay a bit extra.

Best price so far £699 from c&r

There was a thread on the forum the other day, cant remember the exact details. I dont think the FK's come with dustgaurds either?

I have drove a mk3 16v fitted with Koni coilovers though and am hoping Roddy has his vr at kames on sunday for a passenger run and I reckon Koni will win in the end.

Ledas would be good but I cant justify that cost.

for that price if you dont need coilovers, get koni`s and H&R

(but then again i`m biased!)

That would be the sensible option as ive already got Konis on the front and eibach springs, so it would be cheap to just get the rear shocks.

I just cant seem to help using any excuse to go for an upgrade though. (I needed a clutch so got a gearbox rebuild with quaife diff.)

Starting to think sensible now, can get 2 rear TA Konis for under £150 and use my current Eibach springs and Koni fronts. There about 5 year old though, what is the lifespan on these things anyway. Wouldnt want to not go for the coilovers if my front shocks are passed there best. If there ok though with the money I save it could be time for the arbs.... :?
