00533 Idle Speed Regulation Adaption limit not reached

Recommended Posts

Hello,

About 2 months ago i was posting about really bad idle issues i had which were finally cured by a new bosche idle valve, however i am still having idle issues...

The car idles fine, but then if any throttle is applied, when you release the throttle and the revs drop, they hang maybe 500rpm higher then they should for a few seconds, and then it will settle.

When the car is warm, the same issue happens, but the revs don't seem to ever drop back to idle speed.

I still have the error code '00533 Idle Speed Regulation Adaption limit not reached' and it always re-appears within seconds if it is removed.

I have read the ross-tech and all the listed symptoms, but I'm looking to understand the error description better, what is the adaption limit? and how is it reached?

Thanks

Can't help you with error code but isn't the above just because the throttle damper is set too high, especially if somebody's been playing around adjusting it up due to the previous dodgy isv giving a bad idle. If is too high would give exactly those symptons
