Broken into, won't start.

Recommended Posts

Hi there, new to the forum sorry if in wrong section. But I have a 93' vr6 and it was broken into a while back, It was parked somewhere else due to the lack of space. Drove and started fine before I parked it. But now the car won't start at all. It cranks but no go. The thief broke in from the boot and seems to have buggered the lock as its popped out from the boot as a result the remote central locking won't work and the key won't do it either only one door at a time. It has a cobra alarm (unsure if standard). I was wondering if anyone could lead me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Might be the alarm immobiliser not switching off, if your fobs not working.

Have you an override for the alarm?

Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition on?

Are you getting any spark at the plugs when you crank the engine?

That's just the thing, the red flashing light on the dash just next to the light switch turns off when I press the button on the fob. So I assume the imbolisers off? Atleast I think that because if the red lights on it won't crank at all.

Also no override unless is wired in somewhere?

The fuel pump does prime and there is spark
