niko 0 Posted December 12, 2016 Hi, I'm back!.....yes I'm sure ya'll remember me, not. Anyway, picking up my third corrado tomorrow after more than a decade after the first one I tuned the hell out of. Its a vr6 1994 project car with a big P as its been standing idel for 5-6 years. Tomorrow I'll be much wiser. One thing that strikes me is that it has the US knee bars which I thought were never in the european models, or am I wrong? Secondly, it has the airbag steering wheel...but no passenger side airbag, which i thought strange too...?! http://www.nettiauto.com/volkswagen/corrado/8482188 vin is WVWZZZ50ZSK000362 Any thoughts? Jim 2 Posted December 12, 2016 Welcome back! Interesting one.. what's with the steering wheel too? Maybe the owner just retro-fitted the knee bars.. though no idea why you'd want them over some additional storage space :)
niko 0 Posted December 12, 2016 The steering wheel is the normal airbag facelift one, not sure if you got it in blighty? Yes, wil revert to the storage bins if I find a set. Looks like parts for these cars have become scarce indeed.
Jim 2 Posted December 12, 2016 Ah no - we never got that steering wheel. Indeed we never got airbags here on the Corrado!
