My 1994 2.0 16v...

Recommended Posts

Its certainly no show car, but this is my Corrado - a 1994 2.0 16v in Blackberry Metallic. Its got 86,500'ish miles on it, and is pretty much standard in every way possible apart from replacement air filter & slightly better brake discs + pads on the front.

Though admittedly I did manage to stand in a better light to hide the stone chips.. I cant believe the front of my car. There are so many scratches and chips out of the paint :|

Its depressing to look at :(

i wouldn't worry too much about stonechips and wee scratches jim that just shows its a daily driver and it looks like its a honest enough motor, most performance coupes always seem to need the front resprayed every 5-6 years especially if its a daily driver, if you had all the paintwork done you would be scared to drive it every day, though i'm planning a full respray for mine in the next couple of years....hopefully by then it will be my weekend/summer/show car

I cant wait to give the car a proper wax & polish at some point.. there are a lot of surface scuffs that I think will come right out. Got this really cool 3M solution which I have only been able to try on small bits of the car because of our great British weather.. every time I go to start on it, the heavens open.

I have two bottles.. one is called 'Finesse-It' and the other is 'Imperial Glaze'

The Finesse-It is the stuff you use first - it seems to act like a very mild t-cut and can lift out scratches, and help conceal nastier ones. It feeds the paint, and brings out the colour a lot more. Then you use the Imperial Glaze to seal it all in... as I said, I have only tried it on a few small areas on the car because weather conditions are never right, but it looks like good stuff :)
