1. Are these grey cloth seats with a 'hump' back seat? Andy
2. No problem, thanks for the reply. Andy
3. Have you got any pics of it - I'm looking for a light grey 'atout' hump style rear seat. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=88062 Passenger inner bolster is the same as the drivers outer and vice versa. I've swaped them and there's also a thread on here somewhere too. Seat back foams are the same but the covers are different due to the tilt adjuster and tip leaver baing at different heights.
4. Did anyone have these - star trump was the Corrado VR6 http://www.ultimate-top-trumps.co.uk/slideshow/waddingtons/series_2/volkswagen_cars_vans/volkswagen_cars_vans.html
5. Pics from lard44's for sale post. Andy
6. Hi, My corrado has a bench style rear seat, after spotting a VR6 for sale recently with the same colour trim and hump style rear seats I'm now looking for these for mine. The trim is called 'Atout' and it was offered on 1994 / 1995 cars. Let me know what you have, can px my bench style ones if that helps Andy
7. As pointed out, 1st anniversay is paper, so maybe hand cut paper artwork with the date on? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CUSTOM-Hand-Cut-Paper-Cut-Art-/111369858494
8. Two Corrados this week - Thursday morning saw an aqua blue 16v with private / NI plates and estorils pulled over in a gate way on the B4525 between Banbury and Silverstone, then today saw another dark blue one just out side Stoke Bruene, wave and flashed but perplexed driver as I was in the Wife's Jetta.
9. Well the clips have snapped on my standard amber side repeaters so I'm looking to get some clear ones. Years ago I got some mhw ones (made by FIFFT?) for my mk2 which were slightly frosted and didn't have an amber cap (I used chrome bulbs). I seems that now you can't get mhw or in.pro ones, and the likes of Bosch or Hella don't make them. I've seen some nasty chomed ones and some which were just white plastic with an amber bulb (looked like square fried eggs!). So any recommendations for a decent quality set? Andy

Indicator fault

Did you fix this - I'm having the same issue.
11. The red block is the jumper, fuel pump should be in the y2 position (near the corner, out of shot to the left in the above pic).
12. Hello, My 1995 8v has had an issue with the wiring and one of the wires to the interior light has melted almost along the entire length (black wire with blue trace). I've dropped the headlining, taken off the a pillar trims and disconnected the harness around the back of the fuse board but there's one wire still connected I'm struggling to trace. The harness has the driver's side door switch connections on and it looks like the remaining single wire (brown with a white trace) heads off along the back of the dash with the vac tube for the passenger door central locking. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Do I have to remove the dash to get this last wire out to free the harness? Thanks Andy
13. Followed a twilight M plate VR6 along Brackley Road and then up the A5 to the A43 in towcester this afternoon, could be Moneypit23? Anyway, looked lowered but not too low - would be interested to know what suspension kit is on there...
14. No, it wasn't a pretty girl, (I've been spotted by moneypit23 in Northampton) it was the older guy... My wife spotted Dude VR6 on Wednesday morning though (she was in her Jetta).
15. Blackberry(?) VR6 leaving Silverstone for the A43 for Towcester tonight, exchanged knowing nods as I was in mine.
16. I had something very similar a couple of weeks ago. (1995 2.0 8V) Drove into town at lunch time, got back to the car then it would crank and fire but then cut out (after about 1 second). RAC came out and diagnosed it as an imobilizer fault, after that they towed me home and I tried another key but had the same issues, so the RAC guy phoned his car security expert mate who thought that as both keys wouldn't work it was the antenna ring aroung the iginition barrel. He left it at that and I started stripping down the column to take off the antenna ring. On taking the column to bits I though I should check the fuses, one had blown (fuse 16) I replaced it and blew again. So I searched on here and found that it covers; Boot light Glove box light Sunroof Rear spoiler Dash illumination Immobiliser So I started disconnenting as much as I could (didin't diconnect the immobiliser or dash illumination). After this I tired starting it again and it worked. The spoiler was blowing the fuse and cutting the immobilser. So put your ignition on and try your spoiler switch, then check your fuses and see if 16 has gone (15 amp). Andy
17. RX2 aren't split rim, they're two piece. So undoing the bolts will leave you with a centre and a barrel that doesn't split, the the tyres will have to be demounted in the usual way. I think you need an M7 XZN bit, there are some on ebay listed for use on BBS wheels Andy
18. A first for me - saw two in one day yesterday, a red VR6 leaving the Motor Heritage Centre at Gaydon at 5ish, the other a I think was a Dragon Green G60 or 16V in Deanshanger, I wasn't in my Corrado at the time unfortunately...
19. As above, let use know when the plugs are available and how to pay. Thanks Andy
20. Same for me please, let me know how I can pay for these - PayPal vi your shop address? Andy
21. As Redborbet above, I've got one of your looms and it works well but it seems a shame to have the spade connecteors going into the multi connectors. I guess because the opposite side of the connect is moulded as part of the headlamp unit they're not available from VW?
22. That'll be me on my way home from St. James again then, I think you're the only person that sees me!
23. After my original newbie post nearly 6 months ago I thought a New Year's resolution should be to start a Gallery! I bought my Moonlight Blue 8v to replace my diesel Ibiza as a daily, I was originally looking for a T5 Caravelle I didn't really need but got distracted by Corrados (alphabetcally after Caravelle on the drop downs on Autotrader). I've always wanted one but never really had the right circumstances, but when I saw there were only 9 for sale at the time nationally on Autotrader it was a case now or never. It was the only 8v on there, it was fairly local (20miles away) and looked like on honest car with only 98k on the clock. Two owners from new (the guy I bought it off and his aunt) and matching decent tyres all round (Contis) so although there was a lack of evidence of sevice history from 63k it looked well looked after and had been garaged. After reading the buyers guide I was surprised nearly all the electrics worked (only the passenger side door mirror adjustment was an issue) however a fog lamp was cracked and a front indicator also had a slight crack, the main issues were some stone chip rust blisters starting to come through on the leading edge of the rear arches a little around the fuel filler and at the rear edge of the offside front wing (the worst about the size of a 10p piece), a heavy ding on the drivers door and worn through bolster on the driver's seat back and base. After the first few weeks of ownership I was surprised how good it was on fuel (37/38 on a tank without trying) how 'steady' the peformance was (my diesel ibiza was quicker!) and how much useful stuff there is on here! First job was a service, then I got hold of some front fogs and indicators from local breakers year. The 'Cars Breaking' section on here turned up a drivers door in Moonlight blue and I managed to get a full set of seats for £50 from Lilfuzzer on here (top bloke) which I strpped down to do the bolster swap and got a local trimmer to swap the worn through panel on the seat back with one from the passenger seat (the other seats had worn through too). After a heads-up in the classifieds that OE floor mats were still available, a quick trip to TPS and these were ordered up. Then, after the clocks went back and my wife complaining after drving it that I 'need to do something about the candles' an uprated loom and Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited went on (massive improvement). Stylehaus in Northampton sorted out the rust spots on the rear quaters and wings (still need to drop off the drivers door I sourced to get them to freshen that up). I put an Alpine 'mechless' head unit in (the orginal Sony was supplied but not fitted) which has iPhone Bluetooth conenction, works really well and well worth £70. MOT time last month saw a fail on the two anti-roll bar drop links (I thought the rattling was top mounts) but this was an easy fix (two Meyle links £20). I've still got a load of jobs as long as may arm I want to do, my old Ibiza (still have it - awaiting breaking) will donate the 280mm brake carriers and maybe the 110 AFN engine(?) along with a set of Cupra 5 spoke 16" wheels (not keen on the 5 spoke Westwood wheels and they don't hold air that well). Next jobs are brake fuild change and deep clean on the interior. Stuff I think would be good to do; Get hold of a door handle repair kit to have on the shelf for when the ineviable happens, Get a spare fan blower assemby / motor - there seems to be problem with the fan, sometime you start ther car and there's no fan (nothing at all - not even on speed 4) then the next time you go to ignition on it works again - I think it's on borrowed time, any ideas? Anyway, here are some pics; Andy
