Midnight Blue Pearl VR6 I bought this to save it from rotting away on a driveway and have come to love it but must part ways for other projects. 150000 miles Work I have done: New heater matrix All callipers stripped, cleaned, new seals, new pads, painted. New clutch slave cylinder Cleaned & greased rear spoiler New battery Complete service (oil, oil filter, NGK plugs, fuel filter, air filter) Good Bits: MOT until July, went through last MOT with the ONLY bit of rust welded on the sill. Interior: Heated leather is in very good condition although some levers, knobs missing. Weitec GT coilovers (with adjuster) Stainless exhaust (not sure of make) Sunroof works in all ways (could do with a new seal though) Spoiler auto rise/fall works DDi EL gauges Bad Bits Bodywork needs attention (no rust but tatty paint in places and some dings/scrapes. Needs new tyres, this may be done if it doesn't sell quickly. No stereo, I've not needed it due to the VR6 sound! When I bought this car I wanted a quick flip but have enjoyed every moment of driving it so much I need to sell it now before I never let it go! It drives well and even though the body could do with paint, when cleaned up it still turns heads and looks great. There may be bits I have forgotten so any questions please ask. EDIT: Electric mirrors are now fixed and work correctly. Car is located in Aylesbury, Bucks Cash on collection preferred. List Date: 5/3/2015 Location: Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom For more info, click here to view the original listing: Midnight Blue Pearl VR6 -------------------------------------- SOLD -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: Midnight Blue Pearl VR6 Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!

We got there!!! Its been a bit of a journey and i've considered throwing in the towel more than once but thanks to the help of people on here and ebay she is back on the road with 12 months MOT. I must say the VR6 sound is very nice and could get me into a lot of trouble, I haven't even missed having a stereo!

Thanks for the reply, I've had a look through the post, both headlights look like drivers side, is the adjuster the same? Do you have a better pic of the heater control/centre console? Is it the white plastic cover on the rear thats sellotaped on? Sorry for the q's Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up on the clips, im not used to being able to pick new parts up for a 20+ yr old car! With regards the bits you have, I looked through 2 threads and it looked like the heater control and a headlight had been sold. Could you let me know what you want for the bits you have please? Thanks

Thanks for the reply J.C. I went back at it with a level head today after thinking about what I could have done to cause it. Turns out it wasnt really me at fault the wires were for the heated washer jets and had previously been damaged down by the ecu which is also where one of the nuts for the dash is. I must have disturbed it when undoing the nut and it shorted. Ive now had the dash back out and replaced the wires on question. Also spent some time tidying the wiring up as all the original foam had disintegrated so the wires were all over the place. Much happier now and can carry on with the original plan. Thanks again

This may be in the wrong section but i couldnt see one for electrics so pls move if thats the case. so to catch you up, i rescued a vr6 from a depressing rust filled end and progress has been good so far with getting it running, fully rebuilt brakes and only the heater matrix to do, I went at it today. Unfortunately I must have snagged a wire whilst putting the dash back and upon starting we had wafts of smoke. Battery was disconnected straight away and ive located the wire affected but cant tell where it goes or quite how I caught it. Ive basically wasted a complete day on it and its now worse than it was before. The wire in question is behind the clocks and its a black wire in a sleeve with a brown earth it heads off under the sound proofing one end towards the engine and somewhere around the back of the fuse box the other but I couldnt trace it. Does anybody know where this wire goes? The way I feel now, its heading towards being broken, the only thing thats stopping me is the thought of taking the engine out! If I can get this fixed it may live to see another day so any help would be appreciated. If no joy look out for the for sale/whats it worth thread Thanks

Missing that to then! Would there be a reason for this being removed (common problem etc.)?
-
Ah thanks, don't know what happened to that then. Where is the charcoal canister located?
-
Found it under the MAF sensor, looks like it should be connected to something on the right side and the other pipes look like screen wash. Any ideas? Gareth.

At least you're not in a hurry so can do it as you like it
