  1. Top up with antifreeze/water, leave the cap off and run the engine up to temp by idling for 30 seconds, then revving to about 2.5k rpm, and whilst idling massage the hoses. When the water gets to 90, you should feel the bottom rad hose begin to get hot. Thats another one to check, as your thermostat could be stuck closed, but you'd quickly get overheating if thats happened. Once the water has passed 90 and your fans have started kicking in, turn off and wait for system to cool. Once cooled, top up coolant and you should be good to go.

Il give that a go after work. Cheers.

  2. Thanks for the info guys. back to the drawing board. Nothings ever easy on a corrado.

I know how you feel I did the same I got a Passat handle didn't realise I had to change the inside of it to fit the corrado. anyway I did all that and now it snapped but not just one side both sides, I have to climb threw the boot to get the door open.

  3. I changed the cap the other day as I topped up the water and forgot to replace the cap, il get it pressure tested to see if anything happens, but I cant bleed the system tho. nothing I do seems to work, may drop all the coolant and start fresh, give it a good flush ect.

ahh the dreaded headgasket. hopfuly its not the gasket as not getting any milky oil or cloudy water. but could be a early sign to say its on its way out

  4. hi guys,

pulling my hair out a little bit lately

had to replace the cylinder head coolant flange my kr as it was spraying everywhere

all was good for about 300miles and started loosing coolant after about 50miles where the light would flash on the dash.

I stuck some radweld in but doesn't seem to have done anything,

but the system seems to be very pressurised, I mean hardly squeeze the pipes or if I take the cap off the tank it gushes out till its completely empty.

    and I have no heating.

am I right to think I got an air lock in my system?

  5. Any help is appreciated.

Bump..... Getting sick of opening the door from the passenger side

try having to climb threw the boot. cant wait to get new handles threw. but there not cheap.

  6. Hi guys, just got my self another corrado :D

    It's a kr (cheap insurance)

Was driving great yesterday evening went to get some pics of it all

Come to drive to work this morning sounded like it wanted to stall, like it was

missing. It picked up then was reving over

    1k.

    Then

So only got few miles down the road and noticed my coolant light flashing. So I pull over to fill back up and the water was spilling out of the resivour. (Engine off)

So I fill it up to max again and been great got me to work but noticed the temp gauge go over 90 till I turned heater on then went below 90.

So I'm stuck now with what to do and what to check first.

Apart from them two things car is awesome missed driving a corrado

If you can help me and guide me I'd be very fl very grateful thanks
