Yea i did that and i thought it had helped but then it has started stalling again. I don't want to just replace parts for the sake of it. I've spent about two grand on it over two years. (that's just replacing parts lol)
-
Ah i see. How much was it? Its still stalling? Umm what do you think is causing it?
-
Ah well i must mean the side of it. It has a few green.black and blue connectors
-
yea mine only seems to be occasional. mine is showing signs that the isv valve is causing my problem. but i think that when the immobilizer was removed maybe a wire responsible for the isv vale has been damaged or cut. but im struggling to identify that wire
-
thanks for that...but the bits im after are on the back of the fuse box. i think the connectors are 2 black. 3 green and 3 blue.
-
hi people. i have a 94 m reg 2.0 16v corrado. i am trying to check that my fuse box has the correct connectors and fuses in the correct place. i have so far sorted out the front of the fuse box ( where the fuses are inserted and where the relays are) but i am trying to sort out the backside of the fuse box. so if anyone has any pictures or a diagram they could send me i would really appreciate it :)

Hi chaps, my 94 2.0 16v has started stalling occasionaily, usually when the engine is warm and when pulling up to traffic lights the revs just die out and engine stalls. Sometimes the revs will die right down but pickup again before it stalls (sometimes the battery light wil flash on for a second) . Any idea's what this could be? It doesn't do it very often but its making dread stopping in traffic incase the engine stalls. also not to sure if this is connected as the local garage told me that this would not be connected to the problem but i have just had my immobilizer removed and i know that some of the immobilizer connections were made through G1 on the fuse board,as G1 is responsible for things such as fuel pump could the fact that a yellow and red wire coming down from the ecu is not connected to anything be the cause? also since the immobilizer has been taken out i am lacking power.?
-
yea the black wire has 12v running to it. as for the grey wires i am unable to tell. as the boot light only seems to work when a wire is connected straight from the battery..it seems to no longer work when the boot lid is lifted. the car starts and stays running. i used it for work yesterday, its about a 100 mile round trip.. the car just seems to die every now and then as i come to a stop say at a junction as i put my foot on the clutch to change down gears.
-
hi paddy. i just checked the boot light. it does not light up of any of those grey wires or the black one. it does light up when i run a wire from the battery tho. so the light works.
-
yea i am pretty sure the boot light works lol..about the only thing i have not had to change lol..ok sooooo if i put a wire on the boot light end and connect the other end to the grey the light should light up??? if there is 12v running thru the grey wire? should i have the ignition on when i connect the two? may seem a silly question but its better to ask rather then do it wrong lol..

yea the two brown wires are earthed and this black wire is spliced into the two black wires. i have not checked any voltage as i do not have a voltage meter. this is like trying to dig a hole with a spoon :(
-
the two black wires come out of the connection on the right of the picture
-
i will post a pic of the back of the box where the wires connect and a pic of the black wires that i have used to connect to the black wire coming out of G1
-
thanks for redirecting me with the ecu. yea i have joined the two black wires that come out of the immobiliser box to the black wire that comes out of G1. this wire controls the fuel pump and a relay. also the black wire that powers these two wires comes from the ring around the ignition barrel. not to sure if that answers your question
-
would a dodgy wire to the ignition coil aka G1 plug at the back of the fuse box cause the car to sometimes stall instead of holding its revs when stationary?
-
to true.. there are a few issues from wiring it this way but unless i can get to the ecu wich at the moment the dash has been a nightmare to remove. i wont be able to iron those issues out.
-
hi paddy. this is where i get a little confused. i have not been able to get to the ecu. had some problems removing the dash....i still have the red/yellow wire disconnected at the g.1 end. but it is still connected at the ecu end. the g1.4 black wire i did suspect that went back to the ecu but as i need the car for work this week i have attached it to the black wires coming of the black box under the dash near the steering column this black wire also traces to the ignition barrel, this has caused a few problems but the car starts and stays running, for example the fuel pump continues to prime instead of priming and then stopping. the digital clocks reset everytime i turn the ignition on and off.
-
ah i see well the only concern i have now is the fuel pump is only meant to make a sound when you turn the key?? then the noise stops?? but this way the fuel pump remains to be buzzing away? could that damage it? i am glad you won your argument and got them to do it free of charge. may seem silly but altho i have struggled i have saved loads from not getting a auto electrician out

thanks for that info...the ring around the ignition that goes to the box under the dash i just connected the two black wires from that to the black wire coming from g1 and it started and was running.... i will connect them up properly now as i was only holding them together with my fingers..i am still lost about the red and yellow wire and a smaller black wire that is with the two black wires that i connected to the black wire from g1. is it a case of if its running fine just tape the red and yellow wire closed and that smaller black wire and forget about them???? or do i try to find a home for them?
-
thank you for replying. every piece of info i gain is one step closer to solving this problem. that ring around my ignition barrel goes to a box under the dash near the steering column. i have three black wires that come off of it and they went into the immobiliser..currently they go nowhere.. i also have two other black wires that come off of if and they have been soldered into a brown wire that is earthed onto a earthing point....i think your onto something, what did you do to solve your problem? i also have a black wire coming out of g1 03/04 that controls the fuel relay and primes the pump. i do not know where that needs to go?

i have a 1994 m reg 2.0 16v corrado, immobilizer playing up its a cobra 8150, so decided to remove it. i now have a few wires that i can not find homes for. the car will start but dies straight away....please help. here are a few pics of current situation. main points are that i have a red and yellow wire coming to the back of the fuse box with the other wires that are attached into G.1 but this red and yellow wire is not connected into G.1 i also have a black wire coming out of G1 either 03/04 but this goes nowhere. please help.

ok so i am going down to the car today and i will attempt to unplug every connector from the fuse box and trace what i need to, i need to locate where that red and yellow wire that comes down the same set of wires that plugs into g1 is from. would really appreciate any help/advice at this point? http://s25.postimg.org/41b7hevfz/wires.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/9bg68pfov/2014_02_19_12_10_52.jpg

Ok so i have a 2l 16v m reg corrado. its fitted/was fitted before i hacked away at it :bonk: with a cobra 8150 immobilizer. having somehow lost the touch key i am unable to start it. so i logged on and found a few threads on how to remove the cobra immobilizer...and now the problems begin :scratch:here is where i shall try to explain as best i can so please be patient..... ihave managed to locate the ignition wire from the ignition barrel and paired it with what seems to be the other part of the ignition wire that is plugged into the fuse box. i think the location is H1/04. i know have my dash lights back. but please tell me if i have got this wrong. so now i am left with a red and yellow wire that is attached to the wires that plug into G1 on the fuse box but the red and yellow wire is not actually plugged into the fuse box. i do not know where that goes.... i have a black wire coming out of G1/03 or 04. i also have no idea where this goes...other then when i touch this wire to a live feed the petrol pump makes a noise and the relay clicks....only problem is i think the noise is meant to stop after a few seconds but i guess as its attached to a live feed it just continues.. so the current status of the corrado is i can get her to start up but then she just dies.. please help. sorry if its not explained very well.
