    That sounds ideal. I can't say a lot other than it will be going to a good home. I wasn't planning on a new engine but unfortunately I'm now in a position to need one.

    Would that be 24 hour courier? I'll book a day off work to make sure I would be around.

    Thanks for the email and pics you sent over last night. No need to apologise about not finding a shipping quote, just let me know when you have one.

    I've been talking to my mechanic about it and he was concerned about being able to check it over, but I think it will be fine knowing the history about how you came to own it etc rather than just a for sale advert

    I'd really appreciate a copy of those emails Mark, would make for interesting reading.

    Christ, 315bhp must have been like being strapped to a rocket.

    That's understandable, knowing what it would cost to rebuild my engine to that spec. I was going to offer £1500 for it, but in light of the last message, would £1600 be more agreeable? The only other hurdle is the distance between us, approximately 8.5 hours each way.

    Does it come with the ECU already mapped or is it just the mechanicals for sale?

    And, is the price negotiable at all (bet you knew that was coming)?

    Shame you didn't get chance to use this setup.

    Hi mate. I'm very very interested in your G60 turbo setup. I assumed it had probably sold. I assume you never had it running, but did you see it running at all? I've got the same setup but on a standard engine which has now decided it needs a rebuild to the specs of the engine you have.

    I'm not after second hand ones, just seeing if anyone has anything not used from an abandoned project before I look to source them A used head would be fine.

    Does anyone have a set of forged pistons and rods for a G60? Would consider a forged bottom end complete Also looking for a big valve head. My G60 turbo decided to die at the weekend so looking to make it stronger and faster Thanks

    Location: South East Kent Please pm or text 07958542736 I am putting our K reg Aqua Blue VR6 up for sale. It has 12 months MOT and can be driven away, but has its faults which is why it's listed as spares or repairs. Aqua Blue metallic. Lowered on coilovers Magnex exhaust Leather seats 4 matching and almost new tyres on Storm solitude wheels. Red tinted rear lights Spoiler works as it should Windows and mirrors also work as they should Clutch new before we bought the car Thermostat,crack pipe and housings new with genuine vw parts. Bad points: ABS light sometimes comes on Oil leak which I think it's coming from the oil cooler seals (two new ones included) Harsh jerk sometimes when driving a low speed or in traffic, this could be gearbox related as its quite violent, but also very random. Feels like you've run over a speed bump as speed. Sunroof doesn't work and has been disconnected Grille missing as I had to break it to release the bonnet as there is an issue with the catches. Despite all of the above, the car looks nice, and drives nicely 90% of the time. Inside is in lovely condition. There is very little rust on the car. I'm hoping it's priced correctly, but I am not willing to look into the jerking issue. This car can be driven away, or I can have it delivered anywhere in the country through a friend at buyers cost.

    Just to bring this back up, is the CTN box a straight swap or do I need to modify anything for it to work with the G60 setup?

    Brilliant, I'll have a read through that in a minute . Are all the cable shift no3 diesel boxes the same?

    My G60 turbo converted car has a broken gearbox. It works but is rattling away. I was just wondering if any other gearboxes are a good alternative to the G60 one, or shall I just get my existing one rebuilt? Thanks for any input
