  1. Hi pal, Do you still have the fog lights. I am looking for some Thanks
  2. Hi guys, looking for later model corrado pair of fog lights. Not too particular abt condition, as long as they are still intact and dont leak. Thanks much
  3. so can you plse give an update mate on what you finally did. this is with particular reference to the picture/table you attached abt colour codes on car, rcl and what they are for. If it turned out the wires you thought were earths are actually positive , then the diagram you posted is now misleading , isnt it??
  4. In a previous thread which i now cant find, there is a guy who fitted a seat ibiza power steering rack part number 192422061B to his corrado and everything fitted nicely. I have been looking for this rack on ebay for days now but with no luck. Im more drawn to this simply because its newer than the vw mk3 rack and can therefore, hopefully, offer more trouble free motoring miles. On ebay there are loads of seat ibiza racks of the same period but there is a slight difference in the part numbers. Can someone plse confirm whether 192422061B and 6K2422061B could be interchangeable or , are even one and the same part. I know the first set of numbers denote period but my knowledge is so scanty that it can be dangerous, lol! Thank you.
  5. Thanks very much guys, much appreciated. I think you got it bang on because today the car wouldnt even crank. It was like there is no battery, save for the dash lights coming up with key on. I will need to take it out and see what type it is. bit frustrated there are so many starters on ebay but cant tell definitively which one is the right one before taking out mine. Looks like there are so many versions!
  6. Hi guys, i have a problem with my car. When the engine is warm the car wont start sometimes. When cranking it would feel like the battery is totally discharged and therefore wont even crank a full turn.First i thought the battery was flat but the AA man and Euro car parts have tested the battery and confirmed its okay. When jump starting it, it will start first time and thats why i first suspected the battery. Anyway, i have changed the ignition coil and and put new 10mm ht leads, changed the battery cables and made sure all the ground points are sound. I have also changed the ignition amplifier ( the 6 pin thing that sits on the scuttle panel)and the problem went away for a few weeks but its back again. I am currently using an msd high vibration coil which i recently fitted brand new and i think it could be the coil again. If it is the coil then this car is killing the ignition coils in less than 100 miles ( is this possible) I am at a loss, what could be the problem?? the car has a starter button if this helps. I suspected the connections from the ignition switch to the start button were suspect and checked and secured the positive wire which wasnt that well connected to be honest but i didnt disturb the ground wire. But im also thinking that if the connection was poor there why would this only manifest when the engine is warm?? Sorry for long post
  7. Thanks pal, thanks a lot for the effort. I had to drill the plate and make the holes larger to compensate for the shift in stud position during loosening and re tightening of the studs. I honestly dont think those holes had to be such a tight fit, given a lot of force is applied when working on them. Just a slight change is position of studs will make that plate a nightmare to fit!!
  8. It has four studs in all, which also act as nuts in the centre. the top ones which actually hold pump to the block are one which dont now align to the alternator mounting plate.
  9. Hi guys, Things are just confusing me today, even posting a thread here is just so complicated for me. Anyways i changed my water pump today n things were going well until i tried mounting back the alternator bracket onto the water pump. The bracket holes dont seem to align with the studs any more. this has got me so confused i now dont remember how the studs were in the first place. The studs are tapered on one side . my question is which side goes into the block, the tapered one or the normal side?
