1. Hi Guys, I haven't posted on here in years, but I'm back to Corrado ownership, I purchased the PD130 Corrado that was on eBay a few months ago and spent considerable amount of money and time on it to get it going and reliable. Now, the main mystery is: - I have 0 history with it, there are loads of upgrades done and it goes like a bat out of hell. Has anyone seen this car before or know anything about it? Posted in the engine bay forum as the engine bay is what confuses the hell out of me. How I got it.
2. My K-reg Mitsubishi Colt and my K-reg Valver
3. Well, looks good but it's baaaaad. Turning over? Yes Run? No Got fuel coming to the engine? No Got massive oil leak? Yes Result?
4. Well, we gave up on VOV last week and found HONEY! Will make a thread soon. But I'm back to this hell.
5. I managed to get this online, anyone around here or know them to pop in and find out. No joy on the phone.
6. Has anyone seen this lately? Sold it in 2014, want it back!!!!
7. Well guess what! Here I am 3 years on desperate to find my VOV! Anyone seen her?
8. I rescued her out of a barn where she was slowly dying for the last 6-7 years. So it's not all bad. It's going to Birmingham so keep an eye out.
9. I went bat**** and spent all I had. Quit smoking because of it. I'm sure I'll be back. In turbo form. And when I'm older, so I can spend more on parts n less on insurance
10. I owned her for 5ish months. Was a great journey, had some great fun, but it depleted all my funds and maxed out all the credit cards, couldn't afford to drive to work and back anymore, so I had to sell. Currently sitting here and almost crying, waiting for the new owner to collect. I will bloody miss it.
11. Hi guys. Fairly new member here, been in the corrado life about 2-3 months now. Bought a broken one at quite a high price, fixed it to the best of my skills and knowledge, put it trough an mot and taxed it. Changed as many service parts as I could. New gaskets, belts inc cambelt, tensioners, all fluids changed. New exhaust middle section ( didn't need the full system ) and it's had a s/s backbox. Paintwork turned out really nice, and the interior cleaned up well. Now I've been driving it for 2 weeks and it's tripled my weekly fuel expenses. Unfortunately I can't afford to run this, nor can I keep it as a weekend car. Maybe I'll buy another one when moneys allows, but for now i'd like to sell this. Adjustable coilovers haven't been on there very long. They still look shiny. Wheels will be refurbed for the sale, machined and polished then lacquered. Tracking and camber just been done. Sunroof removed, cleaned, installed and sealed. Engine runs great, although I will change the sparkplugs as it had a misfire on Monday, could've been bad fuel, hasn't done it since and it's done just shy of 1000 miles. Remember this car was stood for a few years before I got it. Just can't afford to drive it when my weekly fuel used to be £50 on the 1.9 diesel audi and obviously it's now increased substantially. How much is it worth?
12. Erallus, I think it'd only be 2 of us so far. Ryan can't make it
13. I'm happy with Friday night. Be about 6:45-7 the earliest I can make it.
14. Now on the road... Bloody hell I forgot what a pain in the arse it is to drive a lowered car... Scrape, bang, crash and screech on any drive...
15. White C in Hereford. Was at Halfords junction, just picked up a radiator temp sensor from TM factors. Awesome white C driven past. I waved but I was probably too slow. H668 LJM... Was in my silver audi a4...
16. I'm still up for it. Waiting for tax/insurance money now... I'm up n running now..
17. Haven't had time to post anything in a while. Corrado is alive. Needs new injector seals to stop it leaking the golden juice. Cambelt & water pump. Alternator belt, power steering belt. Sparkplugs New gaskets (as many as I could change) Most bits cleaned, some even painted. Sunroof all sealed up. Roof lining cleaned and painted black. Brakes given a check, and they will do just fine for another few months easily. All new filters and oils, coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid. Taxed & insured & hopefully leak free by next week. Dubstock here I come. Hope you like.
18. Great stuff. 4-5 shiny rrados by a pub, starting to sound great. Must hurry up and get mine sorted.... Aaah
19. Shall we give it a day or two? Get a list going. People who are willing to travel 30-50 miles? Maybe more? Meet up for lunch and enjoy the presence of other corrados and owners.
20. Right. Been a while. And I've been busy. Sunroof was not working so ripped it out. Removed all sorts of gunk and yuck. Cleaned the channels. Figured out I needed new guides and brackets to make it work. Figured I hated sunroofs anyway so fabricated some brackets to hold the panel secure and bolted everything back up. While the roof lining was out I realized it was mouldy and yuck so a good scrub later I figured paint was the only option. Here goes The bonnet spongey yuck kept flaking so jet wash and degreaser, gunk remover was involved in a 2 day mission. Anyone embarking on this, to remove the glue use Autoglym intensive tar remover for best results. A bit ghetto but petrol also works a treat! Old exhaust was butchered and battered. Cut off the smashed to bits centre box and replaced with OEM(?) box. Roll on Friday. Cambelt, aux belts and water pump for next stage. One more. Has to be done
21. Help! I bought a whore. And it's contagious... GFs Golf has never been so shiny! It's contagious!
