Hi guys Just found a hole in my cat so I'm thinking of just doing away with it all together. Basically my questions are: Does any one even supply off the shelf decats any more? Am I right in thinking that as it's a pretty 92 it's legal to do a decat? Cheers Kyle

Cheers for the help:) Mine must be a later type ( it's a 91 g60) as it's a sensor that screws straight in the gearbox with a 3 pin plug to it. I've had the sensor out and the gear drive is fine with no wear (not sure about inside the box tho), so I presumed it was either the sensor is failing to send the signal? Or wiring fault. Any one know what pins on the plug are live and earth? Cheers

Hi guys Looking for any method to test the speed sensor? ( and wiring for that matter). Basically my speedo some has started jumping all over the place randomly, seems to play up mainly at 60mph+. I was doing 80mph earlier ( private road officer) and the speedo was reading well past 160 and then back down again. Any way I'm guessing some one has had a similar fault? Cheers

Wow firstly £190 for a wing? I've never looked at buying body parts for a corrodos but thats crazy. Secondly, I think that has you paid by bank transfer it will be difficult to recover your funds, as I'm guess this deal has been completed outside of eBay. Kyle

Sounds like the pulleys been loose hense the damage to it, presuming the shaft is OK just fit a new pulley. It's worth checking that when the pulleys is on and the bolt done up the pulley is held. I know on mine it isn't and now theres a large washer behind the normal one to take up the slack

Yeah I think that's exactly it with jabba. They are a good lot and do some good work on the newer stuff but sadly I think they just don't care with the g lader rebuilds any more:(
-
JMR is the man, not used him personally but he has helped my with problems and is very knowledgeable. I made the mistake of using jabba and it only lasted 6k before it started howling, stripped it and found that used some random bearing brand and they went even c3 rated like they sound be!

Hi guys I'm looking for a mk2 mr2 ( don't worry the rado is staying tho ) at the moment and have found one locally but it has a dink in the rear quarter, I haven't seen to car in person but u have these pics. Just wondering if it's going to be a simple dent man job or not? Cheers

Hi guys For any one that's interested, I took the car back to tyre shop and they swapped front to back (on the noisy side) and re-balenced them and this solved the noise. No idea how but it worked lol

Hi guys Nope sadly I'm running standard g60 brakes, and there is to evidense of the wheel catching any thing:(

Hi guys About 3 weeks ago I got some new hankook k120's fitted on the front of the rado L Can't remember when I noticed it but not too long after I've started too notice clicking/ticking noise coming from the drivers front, when going very slow like in traffic it makes a slightly different sound like a squeak (hard to discribe). Any way I've found out it's the tyre/wheel, now it's removed and in on my spare the noise is gone. Just wondered if any one has had a similar problem? Kyle

Cheers guys Heard about the isv bleeding boost, I normally run v-power but that tank full I think was actually BP ultimate (still gd fuel). Touch wood it's been fine since, so hopefully it was just the isv. Oh and it's running a standard intercooler but has been chipped

Cheers for the help Strangely on my way home it drove mine, pulled hard through the cars and hit 14 psi, so must be electrical. One thing I did think was that i was just below 1/4 tank of fuel going up a hill with my fitted down when it happened so maybe the fuel all slopped to the back of the tank?
-
Hi guys Was accelerating in the g60 hard this morning was at like 5k rpm in 4th when suddenly the car hiccuped and my boost dropped from about 14-psi to 10. I let off and drove sensibly for a few miles(car felt fine). Then opened her up again and in 3rd flooring it from 2.5k or felt normal but as soon as I hit 3.5k it goes flat, didn't rev it past that point. Any have any suggestions? Kyle

It will never be as good as top gear with the three plebs at the helm. I was at one of the clarkson, hamming and may live shows and they mentioned about "maybe" seeing them on another show. Really hope so

Hi guys Basically I'm looking to fit vr6 top mounts on my g60. All I need I think is, Top spring seat Retaining plate ( bit you see in engine bay ) Plus the nuts would be nice also. Pm me with details :) Cheers

Hi guys Just wondering where every one gets tie rods for their corrado? Gsf and ecp don't seem to do online. Vw heritage do mk 2 golf and jetta ones, I'm wondering if they are the same? Cheers Kyle
-
I've had the exact same problem, basically the aftermarket top mounts are useless, mine literally lasted 500 miles before I had a massive gap between the top plate and body. I've posted a thread below this one trying to find out the about using vr6 mounts but no replies as of yet. Now I think I know the story with using the vr6 mounts bur wanted a confirmation from some one, basically if you are running standard suspension you need: Vr6 mount with bearing Nut that holds top mount to strut ( may be same as your original one but not sure) Top plate with nut ( think it's a normal m14 ) Top spring seat Now if you are on coilovers you don't need the last item.

Hi guys Sorry to start a new topic on a well covered topic but can't find a definite answer Basically the top mounts on my g60 are completely shagged yet again (after only 500 miles!!), I'm fitting some coilovers next weekend and would like to sort this once and for all. I'm told vr6/mk gti top mounts are a good upgrade BUT I need the top spring plate to match, now I'm told that with coilovers it doesn't matter? Can any confirm this? Cheers

Cheers for the reply:) How strange, mines above and too the right, looks like the corrafo badge is in the right place tho. Will have to check it is actually a original g60, what's the best way to check? Cheers
-
Hi guys Just wondering on the normal posting for the rear badges are. Mine currently has a red g60 badge on the right hand side and the corrado one below it. Is that right? Pretty sure I've seen others with the g60 badge below, now wondering if they have been removed and then refitted in the wrong place Cheers

Hi Cheers for the reply, yup I've dropped John a message just waiting for a reply:) Cheers

Hi I know a few people on here have had head work done. I was looking at having a spare head ported and polished and maybe machined for bigger valves depending on price. Wondered what kinda price every one has paid for similar work? Cheers Kyle
-
As title really guys. PM me with any details:) Cheers
-
Hi guys Just wondering if any one could recommend any decent machine shops they have used in the past? Also what size valves did you have fitted? The head on my g60 is coming off soon so seems like a good time to do some head work lol Cheers
