Cheers for sending through the photos. This is my total standard 94 VR6, well from a few years ago as it in bits in the garage just now. Not had much luck with Bilstein, spoke to them on the phone and they are saying if i want that rear spring (8512002) I'd need to return the full B12 Kit and purchase all the parts separately. So might do that, but also going to try Eibach and see if they can help out. Is a pain seeing as i was wanting to start putting the front subframe/steering rack and all that in this weekend and then i was going to start pulling the rear to bits.

Cheers for the help on this. Just want to avoid the hassle of fitting this and then finding that its not right, cars been off the road for 2 years now so want to get it all up and running by this spring. I've gone back to Bilstien this morning and waiting to hear back from them. I've got a feeling they will try and blame Eibach though seeing as its their parts, so i may try and contact Eibach as well to see if they can help.

Cheers for the response, i got them online from Bilstien. I will give them a call in the morning to see if they can sort something out. Oh and just to double check, was the rear spring you fitted 8512002?

Evening, I am currently refurbishing my VR6 Corrado after 16 years of driving. Going for full respray and powder coating front subframes and rear axle anoungst other things. Whilst doing this i am going to replace the Front and Rear suspension and have just received the B12 Kit from Bilstein. After some studying on the forum i found this post below - Bilstein B12 kit question - Page 2 - Drivetrain - The Corrado Forum (the-corrado.net) As this notes, there have been historical issues with the springs from Eibach that comes with the Kit. I checked the Spring part numbers today and it seems that i have received the shorter rear springs (EW 8513002 HA). I was wondering if anybody has fitted this kit with the EW 8513002 HA rear springs and had any issues, i.e. does it sit lower at the rear compared to the front? How does it drive / handle? If anybody has fitted the kit and could let me know how it is that would be great. I don't want to go and fit all this and then find out that i need to take it all to pieces again. Cheers Mike

Am i right in thinking if the car is turning over there shouldnt be a problem with the ignition key? Also the fuel pressure regulator, where about is this located? thanks for the help!!! Cheers Mike

Hi, I'm having a few problems with my 1994 VR6 :( . I'll give you al a run down on the symptoms About a month ago I put the C in to the garage because it wasn’t running sweet, wee bit of miss firing and wouldn’t idle well. Garage checked it on the computer but didn’t show anything up, so they took out the ISV cleaned it and re-fitted it. This helped the running issues, but for only about 2 weeks, after that it went back to miss firing, not running smoothly, although was idling ok. Then I filled the car with Shell Optimax and the car started to run a lot better, not spluttering at all and idling fine. Although, this week it’s started being a pain to start. My C has never been a brilliant starter for the 8 years I’ve had it but recently its got considerably worse, it must be taking about 7-10 seconds to start, it must turn over about 15-20 times before it finally starts. What do you folk recommend doing? I've had a look about for threads on here and seem the following been mentioned - Fuel Pump Realy - Could it be this, how easy is it to replace and where is it? Ignition Switch - Could it be this, or seeing as its winding over is this ok? ECU Relay - Could it be this, how easy is it to replace and where is it? Or could it be anything else? I didn’t think it could be the MAF or other sensors as nothing showed up when it was connected to the computer. Would any of the items above show on the computer? Any advice would be greatly received. Cheers Mike

Cheers for the help People!!! Thats what i thought about the bearings, they shouldnt go that quickly!! The brakes were only binding on for a small journey then i replaced the calipers!! Quick question on the brakes tho, when you say 'bed the brakes in' what does this mean? Didnt think i would need to worry about something like that as i renewed the pads and discs - all round!! Cheers again.

Evening People, Not been on here posting stuff for a year or so cos the Corrado has been behaving her self for the last wee while!!! Hope your all well!! Anyway to the important stuff: The Corrado has been getting noisier over the last wee while, not sure if I

Cool, I'll check the hoses out tomorrow. There was some sponge still in the pot, but it did look like some was missing to be fair. Hopefully when it blew up the extra sponge flew out of the Damper rather than into the pipes. I guess i'll find out when i actually take the car out for a drive. As long as the sponge doesn't go somewhere where it isn't meant to. Cheers for the help again.

Hey, Sorry CazzaVR just got your reply after i sent my one. When you say the sponge gets "sucked in" where does it get sucked into? Does this mean i need to remove the ISV and try find the sponge? Cheers again!!!

Woohoo!!! Cheers people, allot of black insulating tape holding the ISV dampener together and the VR6 flys again!!! I will get the proper fix tomorrow, but at least i'll be able to drive over and get it from the stealer. Cheers agian!!!

Cheers bud, You reckon if i get a new ISV Damper fitted that should be me away and hopefully thats all it was?
-
Cheers, Any idea what the part is in the photo? The part with the two pipes connected into it which has cracked.
-
Ok, Think I've found the problem but need a little help with what this part actually is, and what exactly it does. It is a small black cylinder that is attached to the air in take and mounted on the back (close to) of the cylinder head, is this the ISV damper? I have attached a photo to help if my description is a little vague. As you can see from the photo it is cracked. What would cause this to crack/blow? Could it just be wear and tare? Another thing, where exactly is the ISV? I was thinking about giving it a clean to help the idling, would people recommend this?

Im not to sure to be honest with you, how can i tell the differece between a dizzy and coil pack, its a 94 plate so does this give any clues or does it depend from car to car. Can hear the fuel pump and its only 1 year old so that should be fine. Think spark is fine as well, cos when i rev the engine upto about 3000-4000 rpm it runs, granted not very well but it does run. As soon as i take the foot of the pedal though it just cuts out. Cheers Mike

Hi, Cheers for the advice!! I went out and checked the C again this morning and gave it another turn over and the same thing happened again, went out with a bang and cut out!!! :( Checked all the fuses, they were ok. I tried taking off the MAF plug to see if this would help, but just the same. I was wondering if it could possible be the Lambda sensor? If so is this connected directly onto the CAT and is there anyway i could disconnet it with out putting it up on a ramp, this to rule this sensor out.

Hi, I have a 94 VR6 Corrado and the car was running as usual intil this morning when i went out to start it. When i turned it over it went out with a bang (which i suspect was the car back firing) and it just died. Now when i turn it over it starts but instantly cuts out again. Anybody got any ideas what the problem could be? Cheers Mike

Thanks for the replies. Is relay 109 fitted in the fuse/relay box under the bonnet or under the dash? Cheers

Hi Having starting problems with my VR6, I got the fuel pump changed a about a month ago which seemed to do the trick for a couple of weeks now its back to the same, were the engine has to turn over for a good 20 seconds before it starts. After leaving it for a bit decided to put it into the garage were they put it onto the diagnostic computer and they said it was the RPM Sensor. Has anyone else heard of this sensor, what does it do and is it likely to be this giving problems starting? Cheers

Hi Just got my VR6 out of winter storage this weekend and i think i have a problem with the fuel pump. When the car is running the fuel pump is making a noisy buzzy sound. Does this mean it is on its last legs or could it be a fuel block or dodgy fuel filter? The car has FSH so would the fuel filter be a long shot. Whats the going rate for a fuel pump change? Could this problem have something to do with my bad starting aswell?

HI Ive got a Meta immobiliser on my VR6 and the battery was drained. When i charged the battery up again, i coudnt switch the immobiliser off. Has anyone got ideas to reset it? Cheers

Hello Driving home tonight and my damn clutch syarted to slip. Does the clutch have an adjustment? If not, whats the usual going rate for a new clutch to befitted and is there anything else worth doing while im in there? Cheers folks
-
Yo Ladies and Gents Just wondering whats the going rate for getting the front and rear discs, and pads replaced on a 94 VR6. Cheers
-
Cheers for the replies people!!! :) I thought it might have been the fuel pump, it sounds like it is coming from the drivers side if that helps anyone. Another thing if it is the fuel pump could this make the car harder to start as it takes quite a few turns in the morning. How easy is it to change out myself, how much for a new one and should I get it done quickly?

Just a quick question? The other day after a long journey a strange buzzy noise started  coming from the back of the car from around the axle. The noise remained after the car was stopped and idling. Anybody got any ideas what this could be?????
