I don't know where the bolt is and how hard access is etc, but get yourself a set of Irwin bolt grips. They have got me out of trouble a few times.
-
No worries.
-
I've never driven anything with the b12 kit fitted so can't give you my own opinion, but that is what I will be fitting. Never heard a bad review about them and I think the drop is around 25-30mm?
-
How much are you looking to spend? Bilstein dampers and eibach springs are meant to be a good combo, I will be replacing my crappy coilovers with this set up soon. B4's are OE spec B6,8 and 12 I believe are gas shocks. I would recommend replacing the top mounts as the coilovers would have probably battered them to death. Obviously have 4 wheel alignment done afterwards as your camber will be all over the place.

I know where there is a set. Comes with the rest of the interior though
-
Thanks man. The wheels are somehow growing on me but they are definitely not staying lol. Aye that would be perfect if you could do that pal. This is supposed to be a quick turn a round with minimal spending but b4's and eibach springs are not far from £400 so for the extra £200 it's kind of hard to say no. Whatever wheels go on will be 16's as well. 17's look good but I want it handling well to use all the power it has on tap.

Gave it a much needed wash today. Also fitted an orange side repeater off the golf. Looks better than orange rear, smoked side and clear front lol. I could only find one repeater though so a mate is giving me a pair tomorrow. Just need to clear up some cash to get a decent suspension set up on it and nice wheels. What's people's opinions on the Bilstein b12 set up?

I still haven't got around to doing this yet :( too busy enjoying driving it haha. I am sure it just needs cleaning and greased though (fingers crossed) I will update when I get round to it. But thanks for that, there is a couple of old vag's lying about my grandads yard I will have a steal of their locks :)
-
Aye it does just push onto the back of the clocks, if anything it will have probably deteriorated with age and cracked etc. There is a couple of things it may be, but the fact it is still showing a figure and not just ---.- makes me think it's a possible vac leak. Don't worry about asking questions, it's what we all do and are all usually willing to help. Let me know how you get on with checking the hoses anyway mate.
-
Number 11 leads to your clocks. I can't find any real life pics that show it in good detail but hopefully you manage with that.
-
If you're not confident on pulling the clocks you may be able to see up the back of them with a torch if you remove the under tray. Check the engine bay side first anyway since it is easier. I will have a look for pics now pal.
-
Rubber hoses, ranging from maybe 3mm internal diameter to around 12mm. IIRC from the mk2 the mfa feeds from the one way valve on the brake servo hose that feeds from the back of the inlet manifold. I will have a look for some pics on t'interweb to give you an idea if you want? The one you are looking for will be one of the smaller hoses. Possibly rubber hose joining to white plastic hose, going through the bulkhead into the back of the clocks. Sorry if my explanation is a bit hard to understand lol, been a while since I last seen it.
-
First of all I would check the vacuum hose going into the back of the clocks. While you are checking that out, I would check over every other vacuum hose in the bay.

By the time I buy adapters for £130 or so it's a fair amount of cash though pal.

Damn I wish my Rado was 5x100 or these were 4x100.
-
Ahhh nice one chief. The bumpers will be painted soon so I will have them fitted properly after that.
-
As requested... Also another angle of the wing/bumper. I am sure I read that the later rado's wings were flared an extra 10mm or so, if that is the case then this difference would make sense.
-
This car is an early model but has late model parts fitted. Could someone tell me if I have early wings and a late bimper or vice versa or if the bumper just hasn't been fitted properly. Thanks.
-
Today I changed the knackered front hydro mount. I am too impatient to wait for ordering one so I robbed the mk2's one bonded rubber this time though. I also bought new plugs and gapped them correctly. I just found out mate has a trade card for halfords so a full service shall be happening very soon :)

Well when I picked up my corrado I got 3 keys with it. As you may notice, the silver key and the single black key on the fob are the same, both of of these work in the ignition, passenger door and boot but only the silver key would open the drivers door. I noticed the screw on the door shut above the lock was a bit slack, so I tightened that, and now the silver key will not work the door either. I was thinking of buying tumblers and re-tumbling the door lock, but my dealer can't get them any more. He reckons he might have a few kicking about in the workshop, I will find out tomorrow. Is a clean up and grease likely to make both keys work the drivers door? Thanks. Edit: The black key on the same ring as the silver does not operate anything either, not sure what it would have been for.

1994 Black Corrado VR6 - Offers for Engine / Gearbox

I imagine this has the cylinder type pas reservoir? Im after the reservoir bracket, that bolts onto the inner wing. Thanks. -
Im digging those gauges!
-
All this is waaaaaay too techy for me! I'm just a daft abseiler haha So the moral of the story is the master cylinder should be fine? I will try giving the brakes a good bleeding. There is braided hoses almost all round so can't be the flex of the flexies ;)
-
Aye it's an AGU with the piddly k03 on it but that will be changed for a k03s when funds allow. But after driving the Rado with a k04 I think I might be disappointed in the k03s? Here's a couple of photos of the R6 off another forum. That was an absolute hoot to drive, it had almost everything you can do within reason, custom map etc. Sold it as I was being too stupid on it!

Well she went in for her MOT today and failed on a corroded brake line and number plate not illuminated well enough... I made up a new line and bought a couple of bulbs from halfrauds so it will be back tomorrow for a pass, fingers crossed lol. An advisory was high co2 (Dangerous) haha, I don't know why I can do for that since its qpeng...? I hate it too mate but I can't stand to leave it like that! Yes it is an Oettinger, I like it :) The r6 is sold unfortunately. I seen it today purring about the town and I realised how much I miss it! The golf is currently looking like this. Here's how it looked before I tore it down.
