I've seen the post about a Mercury Couger scraper seals being modified to fit, interesting to hear about the 2003 Beetle, they'd be much easier to get in the UK, may be worth a look.

The Corrado has a bit of a following in the States and Canada too, as well as Europe. I even saw one down in Oz a few years ago, though they are rare there.. 60+ names here must equate to a damn sight more than that in real terms. I know that in the US, they made a limited run of 16" 5 spoke wheels for the Corrado, and they ended up getting requests from all over for them, even after they were sold off.

I heard back from James, unfortunately the supplier he used to get either the looms themselves, or the parts to make them, have gone out of business. He is looking for a new supplier, so, for now at least, let's cross our fingers and hope.

No idea, he didn't say. I'll post here as soon as I find out.

I have just received a message from James via the Rayne website. They do still sell them but are currently out of stock. He said to try again in a couple of weeks. 🙂

Don't I know it. I got some grease for the sunroof from the US, and the tax more than doubled the price!! Both left and right scraper seals are listed at Vintage Rubber, and neither are in stock, but it does look like they do intend to get stock in. So there is hope...

I looked at Vintage Rubber in the US a while back, and got nowhere. I used to go the US a couple of times a year, so that would have been perfect for bringing some back, haven't been in a while now though, and have no immediate plans for going back either.

Hi, I would be very interested in these too. I have a new drivers side, but need a passenger side too, and would buy 2 of the left and one of the right, to ensure I have a spare. Someone did a run of 16" wheels for the Corrado a while back by getting pledges from those that wanted a set, and it was a massive success, so I'm sure it could work with the scraper seals too. Here's hoping.
