It's coming together nicely this is! I like what you've done with the rear lights they look really good! I found plenty of corrosion on my 16v but as already said for 20+year old cars they have held up really well! How come you've opted to smooth the outer sill face and not stone chip? It'll chip up quite easily mate without stone guard!

Hello and welcome! What's wrong with the VR? -
There is a spares or repair G60 on eBay at the mo for £1800 or best offer
-
The green one isn't perfect mate it bloody good but not perfect, and to be fair the black one is rough! It's even had the arches rolled with a baseball bat I think! But it's low mileage, full black heated leather and it's and honest original car warts n all!
-
Yes it will but this will get a fully stripped shell repaint, I'd like to take it back to bear metal so it'll be a project over winter! Same colour as I love it in black! I'll be getting my mechanicals all sorted first, I'd like the VR to be flawless!

I just remember seeing a viewable one on the internet but I can't remember where! Just want to look at a few things

Thanks mate! Got to do some mechanical work on the VR now so I'll be tinkering with that for a few days, got a leaking sump, water leak from the crack pipe etc parts have arrived just need to crack on and do it!

Hi guys Anyone know where I can find the original sales booklet to have a read of? I've hunted high and low but now joy! Does anyone have a link to said info? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wanted to keep original 15 inch wheels keep it as close to standard as possible! And these made me very happy.. Genuine brand new corrado mats!!

As above guys, will 15x7 et25 with 195 50 15 fit my corrado with no rubbing or arch work? Thanks
-
Yeah get some 1500 wet and dry, give the headlights a flat and polish them back up to! Same as the fogs and indicators
-
Grey mate, you'll need some plastic adhesion promoter by the way to! Yeah I love the green to!
-
Masking tape, scotch brite and lacquer mate to do the lights, picture wise mate I've only got these at the mo...

Yeah Saturday will see it done! I am fooked though! I need to find an interior but not having much joy

Next mate is mechanicals and wheels. I think I'm going down the BBS RM route! Coilovers are coming off and a set of Sachs shocks and eibach springs, I'll be over hauling the cooling system this weekend along with a proper service!
-
Now it still needs a nice flat and polish, but it's all back together, all trims, grille's mouldings etc have all been done again in satin black, rear lights lacquered, and it's nearly done!

You wait till I've given it a good flat and a buff! I used a whole heap of lacquer so I can flat it to death! Mate I adore corrado's I've decided in going to keep buying them in need of love, rescue them and just keep them, VR6 once this is all done!

Yes mate it's classic green, it's dark as it was still wet, I've not baked it so as it doesn't pull in etc, 3.5ltrs of clear on that! Painted it in water based (solvent can react to old repairs) and water tends to give a really nice shimmer I find! Mate I've put some hours in this week, if I've not done 50hrs on top of my working week to get this done! Still got lots to do mind, recovering the headlining, need to get the recaro's I've got re trimmed to match etc and sort inside out, I'm taking all the factory under seal off at some point before winter and re applying it, then I'll start with powder coating all suspension, axles etc! Fingers crossed it'll be a real gem soon!

If I get chance I have a snooze! So today, seam sealed all the wings, sills, applied oe stone chip protection, to the sills but I also did the lips on the front wings and qtr panels, also reapplied to various panels on the car, rear panel, boot floor etc. then one last guide coat and a block then paint! Here is how it stands as of right now.... So tomorrow is the big fit up! Match sticks in my eye lids and away I go!

So had another busy night, got my wings all repaired and replaced the rotten metal with new stuff, all the scabby bits all sorted good block down and into the booth for a full prime! A solid 3 coats of primer filler (hi build) to allow me to block it to death tomorrow so as its arrow straight!

So tonight's work... Got all the factory sealed off the inside of the front wings ready for some proper repairs and some new metal in places, got the back arches welded, drives door all pin pulled back out! Tomorrow night, rub down the skim of filler and get priming the shell, prime the wings and bonnet etc and paint it Saturday and put it all back together Sunday fingers crossed!
