Anyone??....please??

I'd thought of that, except I wasn't sure how specialist fitting it would be. But if it's that straight forward then That works for me! Milltek is deffo the way to go. But confused, found these, but can't work out which I need. I have a 92 K reg? http://www.a1-motorstores.com/Volkswagen-Corrado-Corrado-Vr6-Oval-92-On-Milltek-High/cat/9/sub/196/product/3358/veh/419 Or http://www.balancemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?partno=MILLTEKCORRe Your recommendation seems to be pre 92? And cheaper!!

Can anyone recommend someone to fit and supply a stainless steel exhaust for my vr6, in or around Oxford? I have tried to read this Sticky and come to a conclusion as to which is the best make or brand, but have found that quite tricky. So I just need someone nearby, who will do the job properly! Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Not head gasket...thank god. The thermostat and housing had split, so it was leaking coolent. It hasn't been the same since that day. But the garage that did the work are making out the missfiring was there before it came to them. But i know it wasn't. The missfiring is not that obvioius. I only notice it because i know how the car should drive. And it's not right. That's why i'm worried that this is going to be a tricky one to resolve. Really not sure what to do.

Can anyone help. Just had some work done on my VR6. Cooling problem. But the garage that did the work, took it upon themselves to replace the HT leads as they told me the car wasn

Can anyone help, My spoiler is being really temperamental. It starts to rise then stops then starts again. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Is there an easy solution to this one???? It's a 92 VR6!
-
I really don't understand your request. And will you be suppling the raw pictures to comp together?

Thanks guys, It's a 92 VR6. Sorry should have mentioned that! So according to RW1, i shouldn't do anything? A little frustrating as i can't really afford to keep running my car on more expensive fuel. Therefore if i'm not going to benifit from using a higher Octane fuel on occasion, i probably should just stick to the 95 stuff??? :?:
-
Just a couple of questions. Last year I had my ECU remapped. Firstly I have been told that to get the full benefit quickly from higher octane fuels, (Tesco 99Ron) it is best to disconnect the battery and then reconnect it, so that the ECU can re learn the way the engine handles the higher octane fuel. Is this true, and if so will disconnecting my battery for any length of time affect my remmap? Apparently the ECU will learn how to handle the new fuel, but it takes a couple of tanks worth to do it. Also the directional control above the heater control appears to have stopped working. Does anyone know the cause of this and preferably a quick solution to it? As I am very short of time at the moment?

The Total sponsorship raised = £4100 But also got a free set of tyres and an AMD Remap. So we did pretty well, got something for us and raised a fair bit for charity.

I know it's a bit later than promised, but here it is finally. Check it out. http://www.corduroyslacks.com/cannonball/index.shtml

How did you elimintae your Airblock problems??
-
Yeah we could keep up with a couple of the Porsches, and a couple of the other cars but not the super cars unsurprisingly It cost us £3800 to enter, but the whole thing cost around £5000! But we as you can see got a few people to Sponsor us, and I got 4 new tyres out of Yokahama. And a remap out of AMD. It's only about 11BHP more, but better fuel economy and noticeably more Torque. And best of all free! It took us two days to get to Rome; it seemed to go much quicker though. Should have the website up and running by the end of the week. I'll keep you posted. Ohh another picture, they had set up Police road blocks in Germany for us Cannonballers, just to check us over and make sure we were all above board and legal, they were all pretty friendly as you can see here. Can someone tell me what a forum sticky is please?

Well we successfully completed the Cannonball run from London to Rome and came 78th. Not bad out of 120 I reckon. Especially as most of the other competitors were in super cars. She went like the Clappers all the way and didn’t let us down once, well unless you call the windscreen wiper giving up the ghost letting us down. Done the Lupo conversion now, it’s a miracle how well that works, only wish I’d have done it before we left. Anyway got the Beast all stickered up, actually it’s a full body wrap, just one sticker believe it or not. Been back now well over a month and I think I might stick with this look. What do you guys think? It does brighten the wintery old days up at the moment. Got a website with pictures and stuff on it but it’s still under construction. I’ll let you know when it goes live. Enjoy!

Will this eliminate any possibility of air locks? Is there anything else to look out for, bit nervous about doing this as i've been told if i get it wrong it will blow a gasket pretty soon, and i need the car in two weeks to do 3000 miles for the Canonball 8000!

I want to replace the coolent on my VR6, as I don't think it's ever been changed before. I was going to remove the bottom hose from the radiater to let it drain, and then re connect the hose and reffill. However I have been told that a couple of the hoses are mounted higher than the expansion tank and therefore there's a likely chance of air locks in the system. I was therefore recommended to have a dealer replace the coolent. who would put it on some kind of vacum machine which would then stop the air locks from occuring. Is this true? Has anyone replaced their coolent in there VR6 before. Can anyone help....please.

I have decided (with the help of a very good friend of mine) to enter the Cannonball 8000 car rally from London to Rome (via Brussels and Munich) over the 16th, 17th and 18th of September 2005. We’re entering the event with my Corrado VR6, which despite it’s problems, I love. The 3000-mile event is being heavily covered by the media including coverage in two 1 hour shows on Channel 4 and by Maxim, Boys Stuff & Penthouse magazines as well as in the general press. It will also be covered by the Men & Motors TV channel. Our objective for entering the Rally is to raise awareness and funding for our charities: We are registered fundraisers for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Cancer Research UK. Oh, and to have a good time. If you, or you know of anyone who may be interested in sponsoring us for this event then please let me know and I will forward greater detail of our objectives and our business plan. Sponsors can choose to have their graphics (logos or whatever was required) displayed across the vehicle for all the media to see. So thanks for taking an interest and look out for us on the telly! P.S. Here’s the BEAST we’ll be driving!

A couple of days ago my leccy windows stopped working. I didn’t have any time to sort it myself so I took the car to an auto electrician. He told me that a clip had broken inside the door that connected the central locking to the handle or something. He gave me the broken clip (which still had the part number on it) and told me that he’d patched it up and that I will need to fit a new one. Unfortunately now my central locking doesn’t work. So with the part number I called VW and ordered a new one. It cost me a tidy some of 46 pence. But I have no idea where or how to fit it. Can anyone help? I have attached a picture of the clip.

Need to get my bumper repaired, as I had a wheel come at me from out of nowhere whilst I was driving. Couldn't swerve or brake in time to miss it. Cracked my bumper and broke my indicator lens. Also if anyone knows of someone that is able to repair my sunroof (THE INFAMOUS SLIDE PROBLEM) in the Milton Keynes area, that would be really helpful. I'd do it myself but I just don't have any time!

Thanks. I will Persevere with it. Thanks again. Gavin

So it does just pull off then? I don't have to loosen anything first?
-
hi Can anyone help me? I have just bought a replacement distributor cap and rotor arm. The cap was easy to fit but I can't remove the rotor arm at all. I thought it was a simple case of pulling it off. But now I’m thinking there might be a little more to it, as it seems to be completely stuck fast. Is there a method for this? I have a 92 VR6!

Could you give me some instructions on how to adjust?
