purchased some 288mm brakes, needed a good scrub down and a refurb
-
that will be my next option, ideally I would like to get a set new ones, from vw it's £80 for a set of 80 tumblers, so here's hoping someone would be kind enough to part with a few from their own set

Hello all, sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, I'm in need of the same kit to reassemble a door key barrel, like Diesel I have not yet taken out the barrel so I don't know what ones I need, does anyone have any left they would be willing to sell? I live in Fife, Scotland so I would probably need them posted thanks, Ross

if you get the vw part number they should be able to cross refer it to their part number, I could have a look for the vw part number if you give me your reg or vin no.
-
ahh yeah I forgot I already told you the address, that Is correct!
-
splendid! fingers crossed it's just the fuse then, thanks for the help!!
-
ahh, I like the sound of that! sounds like it could be something simple, hopefully!

just as it says in the title, I done about 150 miles on sunday, windows sliding up and down all day long, central locking pump doing its job, I realise later on at night that the drivers or passengers side window switches arnt moving the windows, no noise from the motors or anything (the light in the switch is still lighting up so they are obviously getting power) then later on I find the central locking isn't working when I move the actuator in the drivers door anything simple like a fuse? I have tested most of the fuses and they seem fine, anyone had this problem before?

do you know if its advised to get longer bolts when adding 5mm spacers? or is the standard ones fine for a spacer that width
-

I enjoy tinkering about with older cars, it helps when dealing with customers with similar cars, it still can be pretty difficult learning everything about every model though.. even though that is our job! I'm sure most of the people on here though could teach the parts guys a thing or two though
-
it's alright that's alot of haste for you, but if anything goes wrong I know who to ask first[emoji6] I replaced they fob battery but the button still isn't working[emoji20] so I will just have to make do with leaning over the passenger's lap every time I start the car.. not always a bad thing when it's a pretty senorita haha
-
thanks to JEZR for posting me out the red silicone tube[emoji106] I got my bmc fitted securely now also gave the calipers a coat of paint, will still need a smooth down and another coat at some point
-

-

oh that's all we hear! I live in Cellardyke which is attached to Anstruther, the queue for that place in the summer is incredible, I go to Crail every so often to have a look around, most of the time it's just rice box corsas and the occasional golf r funded by mummy and daddy, not taken the vr up yet though
-

if you still have these I would take the front pair? I will be happy to cover the postage fees and also name your price for the parts, my suspension is sitting lower on the drivers side, my main suspect is the shokie is away but Im too chicken to splash out on a new pair incase it doesn't do the job
-
