Hi I'm after the plastic screws (I think they may be plastic?) that hold the rear door cards (I know there are not rear doors, but you know what I mean!) on at the back of the door cards. There are 2 on each side of the car (one top one bottom) and they are hidden behind the rear seats and only can be seen when the seats are folded forward. Anyone know what these look like and where I can get some from? Cheers David

Clutch rubber pipe from fluid reservoir to cylinder (1992 VR6)
WheelerDave replied to WheelerDave's topic in Drivetrain
Thanks. Appreciate the reply. I have gone for this, which seems to match the original http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111793138697?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT -
Can someone help me with the tube / pipe please that runs from the brake & clutch fluid reservoir to the clutch master cylinder (fixed to the firewall). Its a blue rubber tube braided with material. Is this normal fuel type piping, or does it need to be special pipe to handle brake fluid? Where can I buy it from? I am reconditioning the brake master cylinder and replacing the reservoir and thought I would do all the pipes that are looking a bit shabby. I've got the ABS pump return pipes, but just need the clutch one, which looks like fuel pipe. Also, are these glued or anything at each end of just held in place by just pushing them over the reservoir / ABS pump joints? Many thanks David

Brake pedal travel ..... to the floor......
WheelerDave replied to WheelerDave's topic in Drivetrain
Sorry, to answer the question, I used the air pressure 1 man bleeder to bleed the system.... I only did the brake calipers and not the abs or master cylinder as it all seemed okay -
Brake pedal travel ..... to the floor......
WheelerDave replied to WheelerDave's topic in Drivetrain
I didn't do a full bleed, but is was all fitted properly (I think). The thing that is so strange is the way the pressure just disappears slightly randomly. Also the way the pedal can be pushed half way down then forced to the floor if you push a bit harder. It all feels more like a leak or a seal failing than just air in the system. I could very easily be wrong though???? -
Brake pedal travel ..... to the floor......

Thanks. It's a 92 k Reg, so presumably an early one? I've just read the forum posts about recon at pastparts.co.uk so will probably go for that next it think as only £120. Seems like a safe route to me, given its the brakes!!! -
Brake pedal travel ..... to the floor......
WheelerDave replied to WheelerDave's topic in Drivetrain
Thanks guys. I have checked and there are no leaks. I have also bled the systems and there is no major air in there and the fluid is in good shape, so it does look like a master cylinder problem to me (seals failing?).....ouch..... This is what I had feared it might be, but was hoping someone would tell me I was missing something unique to Corrados Where can you get new master cylinders from? Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated. -
Interested if anyone has any ideas....or if it could just be air... The brake pedal goes about half way down and the brakes work, but not full strength. Then if you push harder on the brake pedal you can force it to the floor, brakes still not full strength. If you pump the brakes a few times everything is normal - pedal goes half way down and brakes feel fine. However, after a short period of time the symptoms above come back. It's kind of worrying when it first happened, but I think it's always done it a bit. It has a refurbished abs pump and the abs works, but the light seems to stay on sometimes but I have not bottomed that out yet. Could just be lack of use as the car had not been driven much for over a year. It's a 1992 Corrado VR6. Any thoughts welcome?

Hi Russ Good to see you made it onto here. Guys - I asked Russ for these and they are an amazing match for the originals, so well worth it if you are missing one. Cheers David

Under bonnet silver sticker (on underside of bonnet)
WheelerDave replied to WheelerDave's topic in Engine Bay
Thanks Ian. I have hunted everywhere for them, but can't find them. I have however found someone who can make them up so he will put them on the forum as soon as they are ready.....unless anyone comes up with them before. Cheers Dave -
Does anyone know if these are available from anywhere? It is the silver sticker fixed to the underside of the bonnet itself? If not, I will get some remade. I tried to attach one...but does not seem to work Cheers David

Yes. I managed to get one for the drivers side (right) but they have been discontinued for the left hand side

Can anyone help with one of these pls, which are no longer available.....cheers

I was just putting the leather door card back on the passenger door and the top trim that it slots into along the window line has cracked. Has anyone got a passenger side (left hand side) black trim spare please? Thanks also for all of help so far with my VR6 from the forum (I now have working central locking and electric mirrors!). Good to be back in a VR6 after a near 20 year break. Thanks for any help anyone can give.
