  1. Thanks a lot :)

Just made me realise how much mine could benefit from a good wax. Def gonna get it sorted ASAP 8)

    Looks great

Like the wheels, could do with being a touch lower tho. Are they Khans? I had them on my old gti, kinda regred not taking them off when I sold it on :/

I also need to get some pics up of mine....had it for months now. you not

tempted to tint the rear lights? I wasnt sure about them on mine when I

got it, but it makes the rear look really clean now I think

  2. What do you think of this C?

I know its very extreme as far as body kits go, but I reckon if it had the power to match it's looks then I would definitely have one :)

Obviously all the stickers would be off it

    looks like it means business

  3. Whats all this...

"Although not competing, Corradogirl (wry smile ) was present. Cheers for pride of place in the 4th pic down (and present in the 3rd) Dox. A good day out, look forward to the next one. Maybe by then I'll have a proper car! "

Posted by 'corradoboy' at the bottom of that page. You wouldnt happen to be this man would you??

    BURN THE HEATHEN!

  4. get some long hoses and fill the boot with gladers :)

altho they can use up to 18bhp to drive them can they not?

5x18 = 100bhp  be needing alot of surplus bhp

    1000bhp should do the trick

Could take out shares in jabbasport when it comes to rebuilds :)

---200 posts, really need to get my ass into gear and make a donation. will sort out paypal. The amount of help and info from this forum easily justifies it. And thats before taking in to account the entertainment value of Roddy and Brians bitch fights

  5. How many of you have done this? (could warrant a poll?)

I noticed the drivers side one on my G60 was beginning to lift off at the front and it crossed my mind to remove it completely.

Whats the best way to do this...and get rid of the kack that's left behind underneath :/

Can't decide whether to go for it or not....car is light grey metallic, I thought it might suit this as being one of the lighter colours where the stips are very noticable.

  6. from 70-80mph my (any I guess) G60 pulls hard in 5th as sits at 3000rpm+

Is the top speed on one gained in 4th or 5th?

I never really go down into 4th on motorway to overtake quickly as 5th still seems to have plenty power to go.

Just got thinking on drive tonight what optimum gear for power is. I reckon with mine it seems:

1st - no real use as needs change way to quick if not wheel spin,

    2nd - 30- 60mph tops

    3rd 50- 85ish

    4th 80 - ??

    5th 80+ always pulls ok

    What do you all think?

  7. I used Bavaria for my mk2 Golf Gti 8v.

Got a heap of work done on that...new rad, bushes, mounts etc..

Carried on with them when I got my G60.

Had new rad, shocks, discs etc.. And charger removed send to Jabba...sns chip fitted, pulley blah blah done by them.

I sometimes think they are a bit liberal with their quotes for work needed but maybe its just me and it actually needs it!

Anyway, the garage is Bridge End Garage in Montrose, just a small place and 45 miles from Aberdeen so not really much use to those without relatives down there :/

I have always been happy with wok from Bavaria, they do know what they are on about for sure. Got my Corrado running well with all the upgrades after initial fuel leak! :)

  8. Yeah cool thought so. I love the way corrados are like the golfs.

Kinda have a character to them...somedays they drive off so well from cold, others they need to warm up. Know what I mean?

Always great when its cold out tho (no ice) and oil temp is warmed up :)

Nice cold air makes so much difference

  9. After a drvie to Edinburgh and back my C started making a whirring noise from the front left wheel. Which I have diagnosed as wheel bearing, hopefully correctly.

Anyway, my dad had mentioned that a local garage in his town (where i grew up south of Aberdeen) is pretty knowledgable about VW's. Apparently the owner used to have Gti's and the son who works there now transplanted a corrado vr6 into a mk2 that my dads friend bought.

So gonna take it down there to get bearings and possibly bushes/arms done :) Also gonna get my belts checked out as all are new but one is squeeking a fair bit recently.

Should be a pretty fair price to, pretty glad to hear this as I had become a bit weary of local ones in aberdeen even after having a heap of work done on my old golf and then G60. Seemed like they recommended new bushes/discs...basically any running gear item at the drop of a hat.

Getting it done on Monday. How much you reckon bearings parts and labour should be? I am guessing not much at all as they are sealed etc..a dn pretty easy to fit are they not?

Oh...and also, are G60 engines like mk2's..with hydrualic tappets?
