  1. Who owns the grey 16v (I think) in aberdeen, same colour as Brians but with added white smoke belching out the back

Looked and sounded good as it drove past my place until I saw it later with the smoke. Nice looking car - hopefully getting fixed up :)

  2. Have you been stalking me???

There are actually two, a yellow one and a red one ;)

Forest Avenue seems to be home to a load of nice cars, couple of nice golfs round the corner on the road parallel also.

  3. hehe :)

Not so keen on the VRs. The rice rockets were more to get an idea of what they were like. A drive in a 300zx tt and a GTO tt confirmed the power of them  Just an awful lot of potential for £££ if it goes wrong :) The 300zx was so smooth, but preferred the GTO as it was more like the G60 being a bit a more raw.

TBH tho, I think next will be a 20vT, have seen 2 in the town that are very tempting at the moment, boith are non DBW though so not really going to offer a massive increase from a rechip which is a bit of a bugger :/

My main concern is going from the G60 to something that won't be so quick, I know it will eat away at me :)

  4. Greegs - Just looked at the thumbnail of your C (Looks great with those wheels btw) and suddenly thought - that looks really like a small lake outside Dunfermline, then saw you are from Fife. Is that the lake (loch :) ) I am thinking of? I think they do waterskiing on it to iirc.

  5. I don't think you can really rule out G60's as being unreliable on the basis of owning one that seems troublesome when 3 vrs you had before were ok. I am sure there are plenty of VR owners who will have wanted to beat their cars to death at soem point too! And likewise, plenty of happy G60 owners!

Anyway, good luck in sorting it - as others have said, your temps sound about spot on. Anything between 100 and 120+ is in the 'normal zone' for oil temps.

  6. It will probably make a much greater difference than you are thinking. It really does change the power and performance a lot for the outlay and definitely worth doing if you don't mind not keeping 100% stock.

You will immediately notice much more torque and power from lower down the revs which makes them nicer to drive. Just make sure you get it set up correctly and think about getting a different FPR as well.

  7. Silver/White dials - I have these in my G60 and want to remove them. Am I correct in thinking they are just a thin stick on overlay over the top of the dials and that I can just peel it off?

Its the Venom silverery ones (with 'Corrado G60' below the revs)

    Thanks :)

  8. What interior parts can be swapped/used in a Corrado?

I mean stuff like Audi/Porsche leather seats etc..

I assume only the front seats will be able to be used from other vehicles due to the unique corrado back bench?

  9. What is it with the corrado and the feckin lights???

I have been through one indicator and one headlight glass and now current state is cracked headlight glass and small cracks in both indicators!

    Its a never ending battle

  10. There will be two new noises:

One on slightly open throttle which will sound very similar to the noise when you open a radiator and the air/water hisses out. This one isn't that loud tho luckily.

The second much more obvious one is on gear change - especially after WOT and a fair bit of revs. It sounds a bit similar to a dump valve noise altho its more subtle. Heard it described as a sneeze - not the 'ahhh' part more the 'chooo' bit :) The loudness and clarity of this will change with the amount of boost beign dumped.

IMO it sounds decent and will be leaving mine off, I do sometimes miss the old whisltey/ping type noise it had before though :)
