  1. Is the fuel filter 3/4 of the way down under the car?
  2. I have changed the plugs, rotor and cap recently. Whipped the plugs out the other day for a clean. Could the supply to my isv be dodgy? Not sure I can hear or feel the "buzz". Should I hear it upon ignition lights on stage or after the engine is started? It's also possible that neither isv is working as the one I aquired recently is second hand. Funny enough in my own estimations it does feel like fuel starvation. That's how it feels to drive. Noticed a fair bit of slack in the throttle cable. Adjusted it as best I could. The micro switch still actuates at throttle off/idle but the cable is more crisp and taught. Going to check my fuel filter before anything else. Good shout. Thank you for the input folk's
  3. Help! At my wits end! My 2.0 16v corrado is bogging down and lurching on acceleration. Have swapped out the isv with no success. Have checked vacuum lines. This is getting very frustrating. Seems better going uphill for some reason.
  4. Ah so to adjust the mix one would remove the cap and then insert an Allen key down the hole. I can just plug the hole to prevent any water getting in then? http://vwtech.no-ip.info/images/golf/16vcoscrew.jpg This is the hole I mean.
  5. So should there be an air fuel mix screw in there? It is just an empty hole right now.
  6. Been poking around my 2.0 engine bay searching for the culprit of my lurching corrado. I have found a wooden golf tee wedged into air metering head just in front of the large rubber air intake. I guess someone was trying to plug it. What is meant to be there? What should I do with the hole?
  7. How can I bring this thread to the attention of lilfuzzer as I'm a newb to this forum and on a phone... If anybody reads this pitch in with the relative merits of going for an aftermarket manifold and exhaust...
  8. Just in case anybody picks up my original post wrong the part I am looking for is the tranverse suitcase style box. The silencer immediately behind the back box. Part number from memory is 535253409k Sorry VEEDUBBED for wasting your time..
  9. Hey VEEDUBBED,

Feeling like a total newb here as I may not have described the part I'm looking for well enough. The part I'm seeking is between the part you have and the back box. It's the tranverse suitcase style silencer I'm seeking.

Part number 535253409k . Hope I haven't wasted too much of your time and am so grateful for your reply. Perhaps I described it poorly in my post so will check back just in case I send someone else on a wild goose chase.

    Thanks again.

  10. Hey bud my email regards the centre silencer. [email protected]

New to this forum so still getting to grips with things. Can't convey my gratitude enough dude. Thanks again..

  11. Hey VEEDUBBED Many thanks for the reply, I have been struggling on regardless with the middle box on its last legs! I can wait a bit longer! Post or freight may not be too bad from your side of the channel, I will investigate. Many thanks for the reply. How much longer do you reckon uvula be needing it?
  12. Please help me keep my beloved corrado on the road! I am desperate to source a centre box for my 93 16v. I am on a reasonably limited budget and would probably like to keep the car original, however I would consider an aftermarket system at the right price. I also have a crack on the exhaust manifold but it's not quite as urgent as the middle box, and yes it would be less hassle to do both at the same time! Also worth mentioning that I'm on jersey so collection just ain't possible. Wish me luck.. Thanks in advance for replies if any!

    Rough running 16v

I also washed the engine bay recently before the idle issues....Will bring a towel with me too..
  17. Wish me luck, going to investigate some rough running issues. Engine is not holding a high enough idle so is dying at junctions...also erratic power delivery while accerlerating... Guess I will start with the isv if I can find it.... Very green and new to corrado ownership.. Wish me luck..
  18. Was a bit worried as the vendor had her running when I picked her up but had no issues starting her today.. Fingers crossed....
  19. Cheers for the warm welcome folks Looking forward to learning a bit about these cars...
  20. Hey folks, Just purchased a 93 2l 16v corrado. Always been a vee dub lover and owner with various beetles and a bay window van. Definitely new to corrados and this forum so forgive me for that. Looking forward to meeting some new folks on here and will no doubt have many questions and queries. Just making my way through the cars history file! Looking forward to driving this car and having a tinker about. The future is corrado
