1. Not the gamma- but the OEM NA. From Google: Unfortunately, I picked it up to play cassettes Is that normal for the Gamma and other older units? I'll just have to keep looking. Thanks for your suggestion!
2. Hi All, So I managed to get ahold of the original Premium Dolby Cassette for my 93 SLC to continue to bring it back to orginal ...but even though everything works the cassette will not "suck in" to the player. Tried pushing and didn't work. Checked and there isn't anything in it. I disassembled a junk yard one that I had and I believe the function is mechanical and pulls it in. Without power, it sticks the same way. Any ideas or is it just dead?
3. Looking for a 93 R134A A/C Refrigerant Liquid Hose. Hose. . Condenser To Evaporator Part 535820742E It looks like it went out of production a while back. http://parts.evsvw.com/a/Volkswagen_1993_CorradoMTSLC/_53900_6386153/HEATER-CONDENSER--COMPRESSOR--LINES/9215110.html When I did my thermostat housing upgrade I got the fan too close to the hose and cut a hole in the line. Looking for a solution or ideas as well, as none of my local shops want to crimp a new cable.
4. Hi all! I got my Corrado about six months ago and have been checking this site for all kinds of advice and decided I finally just need to join up on the forums. I'm looking to find a car club in the northwest US to meet up and get to know everyone! :-) Mine is a 93 SLC in Black with around 140k (I was hoping for a better color but that's ok) I'll have some pics up soon. So far I've fixed/replaced: Door latch repair and replace Crack Pipe Replaced (with Gruven) Radneck (with Gruven) New PCV piping (with Gruven) Thermostat Housing (With Eurowise via ECS Tuning) Low Temp Fan Switch (ECS) All Coolant Hoses replaced (Mishimoto Red) Hood latch cable (with Gruven) Serpentine Belt Break pads (Bosch BP340A) Spark Plugs (Denso 530 IK20 Iridium) Mods previously owners had done (I think it is a long time love child because its carfax shows many many owners): Swiss Cheese air box Spark plug wires (Unknown brand) SAI and EGR delete New Radiator New Motor Mounts Autotech 262 Cams Supertech HD springs and valves New valve guides and seals Port and polished manifold and heads Tein springs and struts Ball Joints TT Exhaust and Chipped R32 Control Arm Bushings New timing chain, guides MK4 Metal headgasket New Clutch (Unknown type) New Slave cylinder New Fuel Pump Still broken: Sunroof (I am looking for a B3 or B4 one to replace it before Summer) Body and door dings need some love Cracked fog light Headlights (need e-codes instead of e-bay) Driver's seat bolster (I'm too 'wide' and it broke free) Drivers seat adjuster Passenger seat knob Before this car I had a MKIII Jetta GLS 8V that I modified beyond recognition (and wayyy too ricer) when I was 16. I loved that car but realized my mistake. My goal is for an 'OEM+' Corrado and daily driver. I also have owned a '14 WRX Limited, an '11 Mini Countryman All4, and an '04 325i. That's all I can think of at the moment! I'll be seeing what I can do to contribute to the forum and not just ask for help :-p
