Red-VIII

Hi, The corrado i am driving was left standing for a long period of time and the battery went dead. I have sinced fixed the car up and all the electrics work apart from the LCD display on the dashboard. When i turn the lights on in the car the LCD displays gets back lit but nothing is displayed. Is this a simple problem to fix? do i just need to reset something? The LCD display / trip computer did work fine until the car was left standing for 18 months. Any help would be appreciated.
