  1. Dox you are indeed correct about the 2.0L TSR engine, however, it's accepted that this was not the best way to go about building one of these engines to this capacity. Henny for example achieved basically 2.0L from the standard G60 engine. I a however agreed with the power-claims being perhaps a little optimistic, but Henny's was nearly 260 BHP and the BBM screw-compressor chargers are more efficient and make more power so perhaps not ?

However I if the engine-work is verifiable, TBH to me the car seems reasonably priced for the level of work thats gone into it (I would certainly be looking for way more than his asking price if I ever came to sell my own one, however, mine is virtually a new car from ground-up and has a massive spec far in excess of what this one has). It does look to be in good condition as well.

  2. Potentially interested, although I am not sure it would fit my set-up, is it ally or stainless steel ? Also, would you be able to make-up a custom boost pipe if the car was on-site for you to take measurements etc ?

Any good mate? The ad says its a VR6 airbox but the image is a G60 one I believe. Maybe worth asking the question.

Cheers for that, had seen it listed already and messaged the seller to ask the question as also noticed it was a G60 airbox pictured....turns out it's a VR one he is selling, suggetsed he change the picture as it's a bit misleading :-/

  4. Easypops, DVLA do not give registration number valuations, the prices above are what the plates are currently for sale at, this does not necessarily mean the plates are valued at this amount....previously issued plates do not appear on the DVLA website at all, so "valuation" of these plates is not possible. Other companies such as newreg, regtransfers, mationalnumbers etc. will all give "valuations" but these are based on what similar plates have sold for; significant plates with meaning, spelling words or model types would and are clearly worth more. Irish/dateless registraions are traditionally worth the least, for examples see below:

  5. Evening all,

Looking for an intact lower-half G60 airbox with all retaining clips present and correct. I actually only need to borrow it for around 7-10 days and am more than willing to pay for the cost of postage to me and back to the owner.

If it comes down to it I will happily also buy one. In addition, if it's only a complete one that is available, this will also be considered.

Needed reasonably urgently/quickly to allow some mods to be undertaken (I would use the one already fitted in my car, but it's been fitted with ducting which is is all plumbed in and can't really be easily removed).

All offers of help or bits considered and cash waiting, cheers :-)

  6. Morning gents,

I have a question regarding the SWG Motorsport airbox I have (twin-inlet lid design on standard-type airbox).

Can anyone who also has one of these, please confirm if the lower half of the airbox is standard and just fits to the SWG upper-half lid or whether the lower half is unique to the SWG kit. It's been so long since I bought it and had it fitted that I can't remember. I've tried calling SWG and left mssages bt no reply....

    Thanks

  7. Well that's just brilliant....having sent the top-half of my airbox to be worked on back mid-January, received it back with supposedly 80 % of the work completed only to find it in a total mess with parts of it damaged and the rest of the work is shocking; the locating tabs on the top-half that slot into place on the lower-half of the airbox have been cut-off, leaving one part of the airbox with a sizeable hole in it, the locating grooves for the spring-clips on the top have been smoothed off so there is nowhere for the clips to locate into and hence no-way if securing the two halves of the airbox together into a sealed unit. I had to duct-tape the two-halves together to be able to drive the car to it's new temporary garage-facility......

Bottom-line is that the airbox top-half is totally ruined and now means I either have to hope that SWG sells the airbox tops separately (which is very doubtful) or have to buy a whole new airbox-kit. This all from the biggest and apparently most-well respected guy in the business.

I have to say I have my reservations now; waiting for the guy to reply to by PM on ed38 to get his take on the "work" completed to date, more to follow. Does anyone else sell twin-inlet airbox or could modify me a standard G60 airbox top-half into a double 9I have a spare here available) ??

  8. Hi do you still have the drivers door handle for sale? i take it its in good working condition? if so can u give me a price posted please

    cheers

    mart

Yes, still have the handles and they were working when removed from my G60, I actually have three handles available in total but I have no idea which way to tell which is driver/passenger side etc ?

£25 delivered providing I can find out which side is which !

---------- Post added at 7:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:38 PM ----------

Updated original listing and added a couple more parts on page 7; I will have a lot more additional parts to list when I return from work in a few weeks but I will not be available to package or post any parts for several weeks. If people required any of the parts currently listed for sale, they would need to wait until I return to package/post etc.

As always, if interested in any parts, better to PM me, cheers

  9. Any pictures of the battery cover please

    Please see below:

It's just been completed and is totally mint in every way, surplus to requirements due to me not measuring my own battery first and assuming I had the larger-capacity one; my own one is smaller.

Just to reiterate, this has been trimmed in real carbon-fibre then professionally clear-coated in a bodyshop; none of this 3M/Dinoc "carbon-effect" film rubbish.
