Have had big problems with a Vr6 I bought recently. To cut a very long story short, after skimming the head and replacing the head gasket as well as the heat exchanger, the car is back on the road. But it uses loads of oil around a liter every 2-300miles!! There are no obvious leaks so it must be used up within the engine. Any ideas?? Many thanks for all constructive suggestions Mark

:( I have a Vr6 from 93 To keep it short - the coolant disappeared yesterday and the engine began steaming. Found a hose that was split and replaced it. Went out for a test run and there was no power..at low speeds the engine ran very unevenly and starting smoking again. Stopped the car immediately and let stay in a parking lot. Does this sound familar to anyone - have I cracked the block or something? Is there coolant in the cylinders hence the lack of power? Advice greatly appreciated Mark
