Hi fellas, Ive been following this thread for ages and for those of you who dont know i have put a r32 lump from a mk4 into my mk2 golf. Got it running yesterday :D. Was bloody loud without the exhaust on though. I just have a couple of questions - the car was running fine but i had a small problem with the auxilary belt. It seemed to sieze and then got caught up and split - The belt was from GSF and was for a non air con 24v. However it seemed a bit wide. Does anyone know the part number for the belt that i need please. The r32 loom has been integrated into my vr loom - water temp light is continually flashing - should i use the r32 water sensor wiring or should the vr loom one do the job ( i have the vr one plugged in but it does not seem to be doing much ) hence the question. Just to add im using standard ECU with immobiliser defeat and am gonna be using all the lamdas etc for the meanwhile. ta Fraiser

Just wondering what size cooling fan you are using and will only 1 fan be enough for the cooling??, What fan is it etc etc??. Reason being if i can get away with one fan that would be great as using the original rado fans is quite tight. thanks Faiser -
what did you block off the holes left by the auxilary pump with?? when using the vr oil cooler did you use vr seals or r32 seals?? ( the seals that sit between the nut and cooler and the seal that sits between coller and filter housing?? ) thanks in advance Faiser

Im just trying to sort the wiring loom for the r32 to mate to the vr loom. Does anyone know if i can use the vr fuel pump relay to run the r32 lump as the vr one is only a 4 point relay iirc and the r32 relay has more - not planning on using the relay panel from the mk4. or should i plug in the r32 relay to the vr fusebox and run it that way. thanks

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the r32 engine - i need one so i can make a start on my loom. Could also do with one for a vr6 aaa engine code obd1 coilpack. Thanks

Hi Guys, Has anyone who is doing the r32 conversion had any problems with haldex or abs errors when using factory management. I read somewhere these can occur when using the vr box etc. im looking to use factory ecu on my r32 conversion and was worried about the above. Ziderapple - could you ask your guy how much he would charge to sort the wiring ( i havethe engine loom relay panel etc adn fly by wire pedal ) just wondering if i could send him the bits in the post and if he could make it up for me so that it is plug and play. or even better still if he could tell me what to wire to where ill have a go myself.) i have someone here who will do the immobiliser defeat and re map my standard ecu at the same time just looking for wiring help. thanks
