Where did you get the compressor from Jayceer?Readily available from Germany on UK eBay, I got another sanden
-
Assuming you have the Diavia system installed, just take them off and to a hose manufacturer. Lots around just Google hydraulic hose replacement, They do any hose and fitting. If everything else is ok has your evaporator/drier been replaced lately? This sits behind the front grille in front of the condenser. Well worth a replacement as the part is less than 30 poundsCheers for that, I’ll give that a whirl, it is a Diavia system, yes replacing the drier too.
-
Looks like the engine pipe work for mine will need replacing, has anyone any idea on where I could source these pipes?
-
One of the reasons sunroofs fail is a lack of lubrication so an annual greasing should keep your sunroof working for many years. What type of grease would you recommend mate?
-
I do have one off the car in a box somewhere, so can sort next week unless someone else can help b4 thenManaged to source a new one mate, it’s the make Sanden model 7830 if anyone has a similar preference in the future
-
Long shot but anyone know the part number or alternative for the Diavia compressor, mines shot

Hi mate,Cheers, yes I recently discovered the Corrado Club facebook page and there is some good stuff on there. I recognise your fantastic Rado from the photo. You only bought it a few weeks back then ? When it came up for sale I thought it was the best one I had seen at that price for a long while !
Love the black recaros !
Cheers! Can’t beat this forum for knowledge!
Yeah I had to move quick, the spec/condition is great, certainly the cleanest one I’ve owned! Look forward to seeing yours on here soon

Hi mate, welcome back, the corrado Facebook page is a really good place too
-
Annoyingly I can see that the heated switch/cigarette lighter cable is also out but after spending 3 hours trying to get the fusebox free I give up lol the ambient temp is now working though
-
Hi guys, just having a look at the fusebox (1994 VR6) and noticed to yellow connectors unplugged, tried to upload photo but no joy, one has a single yellow/black cable with single yellow plug, the other has a blue/red cable and a green cable 2 port plug any idea what they do and where they’re supposed to live?
-
Not sure but I have read in the past that the plugs look the same for the fog light and ambient sensor and people have plugged into the wrong way , is your fog working OK , that would illuminate it quickly off the list.I’ll check!
-
Possibly the MFA function to .Also check that the fog light and the ambient sensor plug have not been mixed up.
Any idea what resistance I should be getter on the wiring and sensor?
-
It's not a C specific part, so should be easy enough to come by - the sensors themselves don't fail that often btw, it's far more likely to be something wrong with the wiring or dirty contacts.I’ll investigate further, cheers for the heads up
-
No worries mate the dealers still have a fair few of the sensors knocking about.I’ll try them first, do TPS serve mere mortals these days or do you still have to say your a taxi driver still lol
-
Hu J,Is this the sensor that gives the the external temperature to the MFA ,
Is so number 11 on the diagram part number 357919379A link below.
They are on ebay from foreign sellers if you put the part numner in , thry the dealers first you never know as a few vag models shared this part, Mk3 golf and more.
Nice one mate, that’s the one, I shall give that a whirl!

Wanted ambient temp sensor for a late VR6
-
Good work guys I’ll be there

I took a drive to Caffeine and Machine on Monday. There were plenty of cars and bikes there. Everything from US customs to an Armoured Personnel Carrier.
It's £5 to park up(coffee included), if you have a car of interest they will get you to park on the main grass area for others to view.
I didn't stay long as it's kind of boring sitting there on your own, but I can imagine over the space of a few hours there would be lots of nice cars arriving, making it an entertaining afternoon of eating, drinking and chatting.
Some kid came along and took a photo of the good side of my car, so that made me slightly happier at forking out the fiver

Will def post a thread on a meet Jayce. I do believe there are quite a lot of Rado owners in the Midlands, there is a Khaki 16V one in my home town and the women always pulls me over and says get your Schrick out lol.Body work
Front and rear arches slight bubbling
Car park door dings
Rear Reg light trim new and spray, also bit of rust in that area
Better finish on the under bonnet cutout that was originally cut to allow for the bonnet to close over the Schrick variable manifold.
Door hinges because have a bit of sag.
Very slight bubbling on internal drivers door sill
Here's my motor if you want a butcher J.

Wow good work! And here’s me wondering where I get some new screws to hold number plate light bracket on with lol
-
Well lets sort something out but Im looking more like July in till Ive sorted out my body work. Ill post something up in a month or so see if the numbers will gather, and Im sure the facebook crew can pass on the message .Sounds a plan! What you doing to the bodywork?
-
I've never been their mate so would like to give it a bash later this year, maybe the Corrado GB members can sort out an open day their for none members as well and do a bit of networking, but primarily to show off the cars to the world .Definitely, surprised there aren’t more meets outside the big events, I went Stanford Hall last Sunday and nearly bust a blood vessel when there was me and another ‘rado on the motorway lol
-
Saw that Red Rado with the dealer body kit looks a very clean car !Ive got to sort the body work on mine VR first but I'm based in Birmingham and will be up for a Midlands meet in a couple of months .
Anyone been to Caffine and machine in Strattford Upon Avon , my mate has a Harley and he wants me to follow him in the Rado ha.
Would be a good central location for a lot of members.
Used to go there when I had a BMW GSA, nice venue, that car park would look great full of Rado’s

Welcome back Jayceer.Leicester is not that far from me, some where north of Coventry would be a centre point for both of us. If anyone else is that area maybe we could arrange a meet up.
There is a classic car meet in Hinckley on the 16th of this month, I'm tempted to take drive over, so we could possibly do a meet there if anyone is interested.

Sounds like a plan! Nice road from Leicester to cov via Hinckley

Very clean, and I like the body kit, suits it! Gonna get the side skirts and door trim professionally resprayed and applied when funds allow...

Welcome back to the fold! Did the same, had a 16v in 2005, a VR6 in 2008, sold those years back but got back into a VR6 last year. No other car has the same effect!
