  1. Cheers Joe, the car has just been serviced and it wasn't mentioned on the service report but then again the VAG chimps are hardly the best!!! Did you change the pump ok? Any problems and was it straight forward? Will
  2. Cheers steve_16v can't believe the bloody price, god knows how much a stealer would want!!! So the next question to be answered is has anyone changed one before and if so is it a simple enough job? Thanks Again Guys Will
  3. Yeah I'm tending to lean towards the fuel pump as I can't understand why the CL pump would be continuously on??? So any ideas as to how much a fuel pump would cost? Should I just leave it? Will
  4. Its a 1994 VR6, and the fuel filter was replaced very recently. Where's the central locking pump situated? My CL isn't the strongest in the world, sometimes it won't open but only very occasionally Cheers again PS would the noise be happening if the ignition was just turned on if it were the CL pump?
  5. First off MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR :D Ok now the humming noise is on all the time when the car is stationery and its coming from the rear around the fuel tank area. If it is the fuel pump is it a straight forward job? Where is the best place to get a replacement other than a stealer and how much would I be talking for one? I've had a look on GSF and Euro but can't seem to find a pump??? Cheers Will
  6. I've emailed SFS performance with a drawing as they make custom hoses as it needs to be as close to the real thing as possible but I might just pop to B&Q for a look about in the meantime. Thanks again Will
  7. This post might be in the wrong place if it is then please move it. I need a hose as per the pictures, the dimensions are as follows and all are the flow faces ie not the external dimensions; The internal rad is 11.25mm The external rad is 37.5mm The diameter of the hose is 25mm Its obviously a 90 degree elbow It doesn't really matter what the wall thickness is as long as its strong enough not to flex to much. The material also isn't an issue so any advice would be welcome. So if any one knows of a company that can supply custom hoses please reply. Regards Will
  8. Yeah its just a job to them and how many of the VW owners go on forums and read about what has happened at stealers around the country??? Most of them are nearly dead anyway, the new owners that is!!!
  9. I'm very reluctant to even do that but I suppose I'll have to just for the stamp  I'll change everything else cos they are effing useless at everything!!!
  10. Theres no doubt that that is one quick motor so why on earth has the video footage been sped up???
  11. As per the title whats the correct route for the front flexis on a VR6 C? Any pics? Cheers
  12. I've a sneaky suspicion that I'm going to be chasing round in circles Corrado stylee with this one
  13. I'll have to text my mate tomorrow to see what the problem area was, unfortunately I was in to much of a hurry to remember to ask. But knowing which way round your explanation is then hopefully I'll be able to figure it out. I'll put it on the ramp at work tomorrow to check to see if the CAT is making a rattling noise and for leaks. You gotta love this forum  Cheers
