hmmm, with some smoked lights

should i ... get them refurbed? get them polished? get them refurbed and sprayed satin black? i want to change some of the styling this year including new bumpers and lights but i thought i'd start with the wheels.

my 1.8 20v runs at between 95-100 on the motorway and 110 in traffic we had to fit twin fans tho :D my vr ran alot cooler ... strangely

we removed our coil packs and put coil & plug leads in vw have reduced the price alot on the replacement coil packs as so many were fauuty :?

Im sure the corrado you are on about won his sprint class at last years inters 8) I think the guy is called John?? :) I saw that c at stealth when we took ours to be mapped ;)

engine/02m cost 1k + vat edit: engine had less than 5k on it :D loom and dta approx 1k + vat mapping session approx 700 + vat 3 bar map sensor / vvt replacement / hoses / switches / drive shafts etc etc 1k roughly!! yes we fitted it ourselves took about 5 weeks working on it nights and weekends (when the kids would let us!!) matt at designa dubs will fit one running oem ecu for around 4k and ive known him complete a MKI in a weekend 8)

hmmmm, now your asking!! i reckon after selling all the parts we didnt need from the seat and the g60 eng and gearbox we paid out about 2-2.5k but we didnt use the ecu and loom that came from the seat we went for dta and custom made loom which added a fair bit to the end price! but made it far easier to do ourselves :)

i used to get 28-29 mpg in the vr and i get 33-34 in the 20vt :D

cool 8) golf has gone :( hubby now has a seat leon and the raddo is mine :twisted: i shall be at stealth again on 11th jan with quite a few other female dubbers ;)

the thing you notice most when changing gear is the car doesnt drop many revs and power seems to be more constant :)

lol! my golf did ......... with an auto :oops: we just took the 2 sets of shafts, measured them up and took them to a local metal shop to weld together .....

ermmmmm, we still havent had a bill for the shafts ;) i havent really noticed i shall check tonight!!!! but it does hit 150 in top ......

it isnt that bad ... we had to make a new bracket and get some custom driveshafts, well worth it though imho 8)

the rules are set by the committee not the mods or admins :wink: i think the problem with the forum is the age of some of the users, some arent even old enough to drive :shock: and as Al says above there are still a few nuggets of gold on there :)
