Has anyone got any Paintshop recommendations in North East UK
-
Sorry for being a div but how do I reset the chamber?
-
Recently fitted lowering springs, since this I hear twisting rubber sound when turning on the front end. Thought this might have just taken time for everything to settle down but is still happening after a week. do the rubber mountings need to be trimmed? if yes by how much

Is there any difference between a 2.0 16v servo and the one on the VR6, basically will it fit the VR6?
-
unless they didn't know what they were talkin about and fancied a hefty fitting fee,

anyone got any ideas where this 'fuel cut off' is located, have spoken with VW who are telling me they don't have one and its part of the ECU but this one of the guys in the parts dept an he did seem that he knew much. I've also been talkin to the one of the guys at vdubs and they reackon that the later models do have them but wasn't sure where at. With mine being one of the later models I need to check this before replacing ECU
-
think that might be what I'm looking for

Will try that but have been told all cars have this switch hidden somewhere and it normally kicks in following a bang (although I've nothad a bang) will try this anyways

Anyone know where I can find something called the enursa switch on a c vr6 on the M, apparently cuts off your ECU or is used to reset it. There's no power going through to injectors suspected ECU fault following a helpfull AA bloke who bridged my ECU relay, fix one problem but now suspect he's screwed my ECU.

sorry guys yes there was a lot of structural damage to the inside edge of the tyre a manufacturing fault (currently awaiting refund!!!!!) as they've only been a short while and haven't been bumped or anything. Did have it checked at my local garage who told me I needed my full drive shatf replacing at £570 plus fitting and if that failed then the dif in the gearbox was to blame didn't even bother with a quote for that one.

found the problem on the second attempt tyre default approx 20 bleebs around 75% of front 2 tyres, replaced them and now driving mint never would have though of the tyres until someone mentioned them

Have heard some clicking when 'parking' and full lock manourve's, I've already got a wheel bearing so will try that first and then start looking at CV joint etc.........cheers
-
wheels bolts are extended to go through the spacers and have been ok since they were fitted

Guys Help Couple of weeks ago front passenger side wheel felt loose/grinding suspected wheel bearing ball joint etc. on closer inspection found the hub nut was loose and wheel was barely on! Fastened the little bugger back up and order a new one and fitter it, juddering's getting worse now on both sides(feels like driving over cats eyes all the time). Checked wheels feel solid no movement, swapped front wheels with back ones problem still there. Disc's seem fine as problem doesn't happen in neutral, therefore suspect driveshafts are ok also. Starting to suspect the wheels or tyre's (which are 3 months old) so will be swapping them out with a spair set at the weekend, I'm suspecting the wheels possibly because they have 280mm spacer's on the front not by choice but to clear the caliper's (which are huge) just thought this might be adding pressure to the wheels as there sitting so far off the hub. Anyways if anyone's got any ideas or has a similar problem I'd be grateful for their comments. Also any ideas where I can get the wheels checked to see if there buckled or tyres have bleebs in the north east

Can you not get made to measure spring kits in pairs from anywhere, this would let me order one set for the front and another for the rear I've seen these before but your talking a few year ago.
-
The back end is currently in the sky, suspect that the struts etc have been changed at some time and they differ from the front. Not really wanting to go down the coilover route due to lack of funds and the harshness of the drive so thought this would be the best idea.

Looking for some none standard lowering springs that come in pairs instead of 4, drop approx Front 45mm and Back 55mm. Any ideas
