  1. as far as i know, early cars upto 91 had hook type, where as 92 on had the bar, (easier for changing). My mate had his converted from hook to bar when he had his powerflow done on his G60 so the likes of Top Gear will do it. They also changing brackets on my G60 supersprint cat back systemto fit my valver as same bore size.
  2. well it's a corrado, so i thought i could have all of the road where i live!!! and maybe saturday or summat if your about in basingstoke marcus we'll drive over and say hello! g-mans was a g-60 right? so should be 4 stud, unless he converted. look damn good tho.
  3. they well nice wheels!! 8) But unfortunately i can't afford them at the moment, which is very dissapointing :(
  4. thanks, i shall go and have a look now, as hadn't been in to have a look there.
  5. yeah, i'm local, got a mate who has a g60 too but he's not online, we are in whitehill/bordon. Lookin at gettin some deep dish 16"s, brocks, or borbet's, something like that.
  6. Cool, cheers for your comments, like the idea of the lupo wipers, look less cluttered too. will have to give them a go. wheel refurb or change needed too. :?
  7. Hi all, here is my 2.0 16v that i picked up about 6 months ago, she's pretty much standard apart from a good polish up, a few shiny bits, supersprint exhaust and some Borbet A's. Few more things to come, suspension etc. Weitec's not so good for 40/50mm drop i found!! Any comments welcome. Cheers Terry
  8. Cheers for the advise, much appreciated, i shall look into amount of previous owners etc, one thing i do know that swayed me to her was that the previous owner bought the car from the garage where our bodyshop does paintwork for, so i could get in contact to see if he has any more information on the car. I want to get a good one as a mate of mine got a g60 a little while ago, but he didnt get a paticulaly good example, i gave him as much info as i knew, but he ignored some of it and spent loads on it. Thanks again terry
  9. cheers for that, very helpful. i have only ever driven one 2.0 16v, an 1.8 16v but a few vr6's(paint work for garage). but never owned one, or a 16v. much more 'refined' than my old mk1 tho!
  10. hello all, new here. Just thought i'd ask for some extra info on the 16v engines, what to look out for etc as looked around and found that the best example of a corrado in my area is a standard 2.0 16v on an M reg. with 103,000, full vw history, engine sounds good, no rattling, no smoke everything else works fine but thought i'd ask if there was anything else to keep a close lookout for? all that the garage are doing is an engine mount. thanks
