  2. Cheers for that, i shall try and order one from local dealer tomorrow. It looks like it leaking from the single wire white top one on top of the oil filter housing, as you look down in front of rad. Thanks again neil
  3. Hey all, just a quick one, i have just started to get a leak from the sensor mounted to the top of the oil filter housing. Does anyone know what the part number is? Or maybe the GSF part number as there are loads to choose from. Colour looks white-ish to me. Cheers
  4. yeah 2.0 16v, that's what i thought as it seemed like it was running from there. some one came to look at her and i found it and thought it was not right as it's clean under there normally. wanted to knock me to 2300 with the Borbet's.
  5. Very true g-man. cheers, oh also i have just found a small leak on my beast, bit of oil runnin down front of sump, looks like it comin from around sensor area above oil filter housing or somewhere. any rough ideas?
  6. yeah just a bit!! van wheels!!

    Wheel pcd.

Hey Have a mate who has a Type 2 Camper and asked if anyone knew if Porsche teledials or such likes would fit on? What pcd's they are and would he need to run adaptors? Cheers guys Terry
  9. i run 215/40 R16's on my 9x16 Borbet's, but rolled arches before i stopped Panel beating, so she don't rub now!!!
  10. lol. I thought i'd ask ere before i asked too much, charger was serviced by jabba in feb 04' so that is one bit of good news. i had seen another with only 65k on a K!!! But it was red and considering full history the charger had NOT been serviced, even at the recommended 60k. so leaving that 1 alone.
  11. i just copied it from the page. if i chop it-wont go to correct page. Pretty good tho aint it...covers 2 screens!!!
  12. Hey Just seen this on Auto Traders site and i'm quite interested in it. Is it anyone from here? Or does anyone know anymore bout it? Cheers http://tinyurl.com/8jdmu
  13. yeah was a nightmare, loadsa heat and smacked in a allen head instead of torx. just got em out. But now i need to do a front!!!! should be easier though.
  14. so have any of you not struggled with the caliper mounting arm bolts?? the two torx/alan head bolts from rear?? as i had to replace a rear bearing and had to heat them up to remove them as they were stuck solid! And i've still got a noise which sounds like a bearing but all others seem fine. any ideas, noise like a flat spotted tyre.
  15. Tried sonax's alloy wheel cleaner, the one with schumacher,(sorry) on the front, is very good and non acidic. turns brake dust into a red liquid and i just use a soft paint brush, then loads of Mothers wax on them to keep em shiny!
  16. Just an update really. Playing around with different suspension ideas, thats why a few pics have a very nose down look. But i do have my new wheels on at last!!! Rolled rear arches and now no scrubbing!!! Now to get rid of large pipe! lol.
  17. also on fronts would it be the main spring to change or that and the helper spring?
  18. ok, cool, well i'll get some tests done on spring rates and go from there i guess. so would it be go softer or harder for rears as it seems to have no damping. the fronts would need to be longer and softer i think. Terry
  19. yeah heard they did alot. well they are std weitec springs for the kit have some info, but in german!! would you like to hazard a guess at what would be more suitable?? thanks for your help so far too.
  20. that's what i was thinking. i think i need diff front springs so there is a bit more movement up front. and rears...well?? Unfortunately i did not purchase them new, they are 2nd hand and came off another rado.
  21. have backed off fully, which went even softer and come back all the way to supposedly firm and it still is bouncy.
  22. I have just put a set of Weitec HICON GTN's on, have front set around 40/50mm drop and rear prob about 50 but the rears are really bouncy and the damping adjustment doesn't seem to do anything. front's are pretty solid but that's prob because for 40mm your 3/4 way up the thread so spring is very stiff. Any one got any ideas as she's drivin like shite!??
  23. has anyone owned any weitec coilovers? i have just put a set of HICON GTN, have front set around 40mm drop and rear prob about 40-50 but the rears are really bouncy and the damping adjustment doesn't seem to do anything. front's are pretty solid but that's prob because for 40mm your 3/4 way up the thread. any ideas??
  24. gotta be the Borbet T's. They look well good. modern, yet classics!!
