other than checking the boost, is there another way of detecting belt slippage on a g60? does the belt automatically tension? time for a new belt perhaps?

would just be easier for the part numbers as my old dear is going to the dealer as i will be at work! out of interest what is the difference between normal atf compared to the vw fluid? -
oh the fun! had a minor problem last nite with the corrado..... pulled into a garage and the steering went heavy to say the least!! was like turning a barge!! anyway, investigated and decided that a power steering pipe was leaking near the rack, so couldnt fix it at the side of the road! called the AA and said i wanted a flat bed truck as i didnt want it towed, so they sent out a ........ van? dumbarse! after debating with the driver he called and got a truck sent out. the guy in the call centre told the driver that my car was 4 wheel drive? i think not!! anyhow, has anyone got the part numbers for the power steering pipes that go to the steering rack? (stealers part numbers) do GSF sell these? is vw specific power steering fluid needed? ill put it in but just out of interest. help is much appreciated guys Rob

most of the front end of clios are plastic. designed to crumple in an accident. doesnt give u much confidence tho, id prefer to hit something with a load of metal, not plastic!!! -
is there a camber adjustment on the corrado? if so, how will the coilovers affect the line camber angle?

i just read the beginning of this topic and saw someone talking about being a fan of a saxo. saxos are crap-fact when i see a crappy saxo (all of them) driving around, it is highly tempting to drive into it because i know that it wouldnt make a mark on my rado!! i would rather push my dub than drive a saxo!!!!

why would someone want to buy a Honda? Jap crap as far as im concerned. Not even 4 wheel drive with a big turbo or 2, like any of the decent jap cars!!! My nan has a civic for gods sake!!

have a crowbar and 2 very "friendly" staffies wainting at my back door in case this situation arises again!! trouble is that even if you could guess who stole your stuff, there is nil chance of proving it!! the old bill would rather sit on their arses on a bridge and watch you go "speeding" by at 75mph and get some cash in their pockets!!!!

no doubt been asked before, but how long should you warm a g60 up for before you hammer it? and how long 2 cool down?

does anyone know what the codes when the MFA is set into a sort of servive mode mean? i.e. set MFA into position2, hold end button, switch engine off and on again whilest holding this button, release the button and press again. there are about 7 different codes. i know one of them tells you the boost pressure, not sure what the others refer 2

Beavis, with regards to the co sensor, should the readings be arond the 500 ohm mark as opposed to 0.5 ohms? does anyone know what the readings on the mfa mean when you have it set in the boost mode? i.e. set in mfa 2, hold button, switch engine on and off, release mfa button and press again. ive read that the number 2 setting refers to boost, but not sure what the other readings mean

Beavis: how would u suggest that i check for boost leaks? where abouts is the CO pot sender you are refering to? hpw much do you charge for intercoolers for the said car?

the car has done 98000 miles. i did read about this being a sign of clocking, but i have gone through all the paperwork and the miles seem to add up, so i figured the milage was genuine

yeah thats what i thought, as if its overfuelling i took off the blue plug when the car was idleing, and the rpm dropped slightly removing the plug for the lambda sensor did nothin to the rpm or anything

the mfa has been like this since i bought the car about 2 months ago

my MFA only is set onto mfa 2 all of the time. it can only read mfa 1 when i hold the button on the end and slide the switch to the right. if i hold it there though, the mfa will reset. not sure what the problem is but it is crazing me, please help!

dont know what the fuel was reading whilest at that speed, was just keeping an eye on the oil temp. i wouldnt say that i hammer the car everywhere, but that is generally my normal fuel economy

tried topping out my g60 and hit 133 according to my road angel. not as good as i would have expected. had stage 4 rebuild at jabbasport 10000 miles ago, chip, 68 mm pulley,induction kit and supersprint backbox. the car is running on 17's but it shouldnt make that much difference. any ideas? also the fuel economy is real crap! 17-19 mpg on the mfa. is this normal? any help is greatly appreciated
