i brought this today. is it the right thing, for a 2ltr 16v. Plus mine doesn't like idling either! It nearly stalled 2twice today after an hours or so driving.

Where would i find a 'Blue temp sensor'????

When i start her up from cold, she takes a few seconds of hold of they key to get her started, as if it wont fire up, then it does start and its fine after then. Is there any easy simple things to check or clean or change to help the cold starts? Neil

Would a New dip stick be much as the one on the car is broken.

so not any old 15/40 will do? Where can i get the vw synta(i asume u mean synsetic or however its spelt?)

what oil does my corrado 2ltr 16v take, ie, 15/40 etc? And how far up on the dip stick does the oil wanna be, im not sure how to read the stick levels???

Well then, little story to tell you all. Got there, hour later due to traffic. Looked at it, checked it all out, took it for test drive. All was good, so offered him £1800, flat out refused it saying hes looking for at least £2100,so we then offered £1950, refused it , so then we went to £2k, he refused it, we said, thanks very much. we went home, (hour and half away). Got to sheffield, after hour and 15 mins of driving, got a text, Hi Neil, i will go to £2k, i know you have ot make another trip but if you can let me know by wednesday. So i rang him, said, look, we're in sheffield now, gonna cost me another £30 in fuel to get back to you, take it off the £2k and ill come get it now. So went back, brought it. Now sat on my drive at 12.20am. only took 8 hours from leaving my house at 4pm! Well chuffed, goes well, was great on motorway! 130 on my priavte track, just to test it of course! ALL eletctrics work, sunroof tilts and slides, spoilers goes up at speed and button, mirrors work, windows work, total closure works. ABS light comes on and goes off. Trip computer works. Only few tiny bit that need sorting. Power stearing pump is wining a little bit. The in-car air direction control is stuck Apart from that its GREAT! Ive printed off the buying guide, (thanks C forum) Ive got a few bits of info i would like to ask you lot to see what kinda of price i should offer, Its a facelift model 1993 K reg, 2.0 16v. (quote from ebay) IT HAS A FULL SERVICE HISTORY AND IS IN GREAT CONDITION. UNLIKE MANY ALL THE EXTRAS WORK. THE SPOILER IS SPEED ACTIVATED AND WORKS OFF THE BUTTON TOO. THE WINDOWS,MIRRORS AND SUNROOF ARE ELECTRIC AND WORK FINE AS DOES THE FULL CLOSURE CAT 1 ALARM AND IMMOBILISER!!! MECHANICALLY VERY GOOD. IT HAS RECENTLY HAD AN OIL AND ALL FILTERS CHANGE AND A NEW CAM BELT AND IS COMPLETE WITH A MASSIVE SERVICE FILE AND BOOK OF RECEIPTS AND ALL THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTATION. IT HAS ALSO JUST HAD A NEW LOWERING KIT PROFESSIONALLY FITTED. Bad points:- Needs two new front tyres Engine taps little from cold start, but its done 145K, so i suspect thats normal? SMALL DENT IN DRIVERS DOOR AND ON THE REAR PANEL (£35 TO GET THESE OUT AND I CAN GET IT DONE IF SOMEONE WANTS) AND THE DRIVERS HEADLIGHT IS CRACKED. Just wondering that i could offer, he's got it on auto trader at £2250 and on ebay at starting bid of £800. He says it MUST GO! So if its right im going to buy it, baring in mind the usual points ot check etc. Please help me as im really looking forward to getting a C! Neil

well phoned him and going to look at it 2morow. even tho it was -1, ive phoned him and organsied a viewing for 5pm 2morow(monday). if i was biding on ebay i wouldnt, but as im veiwing it he said he'd end it early if i buy. Im going with a mate, but if anyone else free at 5pm in York, Heworth, would you fancy coming to have a look, drink in it for you :D Neil

you only lose yer NCB if its been 2years and over since you had a policy in your name btw So if i cancel my insurance, can i start it again in say 3 months and ill still have the 7 months ive gained so far?

that would be amazing! Im planning in getting a C within the next 4 weeks! so im defo serious! Ive got from the 6th august till 13th off, so that gives me 7 days of hard graft to find one! Yeah id love it if you could come to look at a C with me as i have NO idea about them. If you know of any around your area as well bob let me know, id pay you for your trouble. i now know Im after a 1.8 16v. Preff not modified as i'd like to do it myself. mainly Lowering on a coil over kit and alloys.

hmmm yeah i can tell you dont drink , makes you grizzly ;-) Lol well im sure fair few of us like a evening in the pub, if not to get drunk then to chill out. I myself am not a heavy drinker, would prefure to spend in on pertol!
