Took my car to get the blowing exhaust looked at today and it needs a new centre pipe. The bloke in the garage asked if he could give the car a free safety check.After only owning it for about 6 weeks, I thought it would be a good idea. Anyway, I'll get to the point! My car needs a new ball joint on the drivers side. Do they these need replacing just down to wear,tear and mileage or could there be a problem else where?? He has quoted £40 inc labour to sort it out.Not bad I think????

Where did you get the side repeaters from? Are they straight swap or did you need to "stick" them on, rather than using the existing holes?

Do I need to remove the controller unit or does the centre come off?

Mine ain't been working since I bought my Corrado.Exactly where is the bulb situated? Do I need to remove the controller unit or just the cover?

Yeah point taken.Tried braking hard with the heated screen on and it does appear that he is talking bollocks!.Put a 20 amp fuse back in and will try a VW specialist next time I am passing.

No new electrical equipement has been fitted.Phoned the auto electrian today and he insists that the ABS is on the same circuit but not on the same fuse :roll: ???? Told me to brake hard whilst the heated rear screen is on and this should blow the fuse (if the problem lies with the ABS)! Not been out yet but will keep you posted.

Thanks for the advice fella's. Can anybody recommend somewhere within 100 mile of Hartlepool, that has "rollers" and a good knowledge of K-Jet systems???

After this 20 amp fuse blew 3 times, I took my car to an auto electrician.They couldn't find anything wrong and advised to uprate the fuse to 25 amps.Things have been fine for three weeks!.......until now.....its blown again. I am correct in saying that the ABS sensors run on the same circuit???

After much thought I am going to tackle spraying the orange sections of my lights red.Will I need brighter bulbs once they have been painted? Thinking of just using the Foliatec spray.

My C is running on a little bit when turning off the engine.It is also quite juddery when cold until it warms up. I have been told that this something to do with the metering head. I have a Bosch specialist nearby. After phoning them up, I have been quoted £100 to sort out these problems, this will include getting the injectors and metering head cleaned.But not any parts needed. Seems quite pricey? Anybody had the same type of problems or done these jobs themselves? If I am to get this work done by Bosch, I will enquire about mod's mentioned above.

So by the time I have bought, full exhaust system (inc 4 branch manifold),cam, chip etc and pay to get them fitted its going to be well over a grand! And may be only gaining an estimated 20-30 bhp. Think I'll put things on hold and run it as standard (bar the drilled airbox and k&n) for the moment.Only had the car 4 weeks so I'll wait for any teething problems 1st! The thing that put me off getting a VR6 was I couldn't find one that had recently had a new belt fitted.I didn't want to shell out for it myself! I'll try to be happy with what I have at the moment

Been thinking the same.This is my first Corrado.It may be better to spend the money in other area's.Things that could be transferred onto a VR6 at a later date!

Thinking of spending a few quid in this area soon. Is it worth doing on a 2.0 16v? What are my options without spending big bucks? Anyone had their 16v chipped?

Not sure on the availability but Compomotive MO's in white would be my choice. Cracking car btw...especially the headlights! Where did you get them?

Where did you get the spoiler from??? Got mine today but aint too sure about the quality...been offered a full refund if not happy

Got the spoiler today, Silly question.... is it necessary to drill small pilot holes into both headlight casings to fit it? or is there some other way???
