  1. Daves16v - I would definitely be interested in taking a look. Where about do you live? (I live in Hertfordshire) Slightly off topic, but I’ve been on loads of car enthusiast forums (especially Club GTI) and you guys are probably the most welcoming and helpful I've yet to come across!! Many Thanks!
  2. There seem to be a lot more VR6's for sale than 2.0l 16v's, which is some what annoying. Also I have read a coupe of things which surprise me. 1) VR6's need a head re-build at 100K 2) VR6's do about 28 MPG I'm not sure why a VR6 would need a re-build at 100K, as most people joke that a VW has only just been broken in at 100K. Also the book MGP for my Golf is 28, so that would imply the direct running costs would be fairly similar, which is very surprising. Please tell me if I am wrong or if i have been mislead.
  3. Cheers for the comments guys. Like you say Jim I want to stay within the "circle", but feel like I need a change. I'm not totally hung up on performance (if I was i would have got a GTI 16v) but I do like a bit of poke. This is the ultimate in stupid questions but I’m going to ask it anyway, where is the best place to start looking for a good (hopefully standard) Corrado? I don't mind paying good money for the right car, but I don't want to pay over the odds for a modded car, which is then going to cost me more in insurance. Thanks again!
  4. Hi, This is my first time here.....so be gentle! I currently have a Bright Blue Metallic MK2 Golf GTI 8v. I am a big V Dub fan and fancy a change of car (I’ve had the Golf a few years and getting itchy feet). The only car i think of that’s worth selling the Golf for is a Corrado (probably a 2.0l 16V). I understand this is a Corroado forum so you are all going to be "Pro" Coarrado, but i really want to know is it worth changing, when on paper they seem pretty similar. All options and thoughts would are appreciated. Cheers. Tone.
