  1. Did you put the oil feeds on the correct way? It is pretty self explanatory when your fitting it but hey you never know. Mine went on sweet and worked straight off. A proper beast
  2. With the risk of sounding stupid what benifit does the later stalk give? I've got a 90 g60 so is it worth bothering with?
  3. I may just replace it to be on the safe side as I know its poor anyway. cheers for that lads. Would performance not be down in limp mode as it is still running well (just crap mpg - may be my driving style though).
  4. I read on the SNS website that a weak battery causes the ecu to dump 25% more fuel? My battery is not the best so is it worth getting a new one? It was flat so I charged it and it has been fine but does seem to struggle. cheers
  5. Its worth every penny. No rebuilds to worry about, more boost than the engine can take if you want it, more torque I believe, no changes needed except maybe a smaller belt. Old oil feed needs destroying for the copper banjo and inserting into new pipework. Comes with good instructions now I've asked them to modify them slightly (fit oil feed pipes to car before bolting in charger as there is little access after and you will have to remove it again) You could do with a sign on your car though saying 'no there is nothing wrong with my car' There is also a Uk supplier in the pipeline for this year apparently? Not sure who?
  6. You get used to the sound and I'm getting used to the power on the standard pully. If I thought my engine would take it i'd put a 50 mm on it but wheels and suspension first, then engine rebuild with fmic, injectors, chip and tune. people just look and say WTF
  7. i hope they go cheap but i doubt it.
  8. Thats it i'm tempted now. Would look good with grey centres me thinks
  9. Wanted these for ages after seeing them on an oak green mk2 and this is the first pair i've seen for sale. What do you recon they would look like on a grey corrado? Think I would have to respray the centres. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 79953&rd=1
  10. These could fit if you want to import http://www.bts-tuning.de/index.html?d_R ... R19736.htm
  11. Seen these in four stud on an oak green mk2 golf from what I remember? Or a similar style.
  12. I get the same since fitting a new lysholm charger but I was putting this down to it needing a tune for the extra boost. I have lately been thinking that something else is not right.
  13. Was K5 KOO a red G60? Seemed to remember one for sale in gloucester with a similar plate and a discussion concerning its odd 5 bolt speedlines.
  14. Off the MFA but I got a 16 MPG today when nailing it.... Could it be this far off? It also seems to over rev when I pull up at lights etc as if its still getting fuel delivered? cheers Could prob do with a Stage 5 chip and a tune but I want to save that until I get the engine checked over and a smaller pulley fitted, and maybe a FMIC, and bigger injectors, a 1.9 conversion, new wheels and tyres, new suspension..... Bugger - How long till Christmas
  15. Hi, Since fitting a Lysolm charger the other week my fuel economy is crap. It has not been over 24 MPG and is usually at 20. I'm not ramping it as I'm trying to run the charger in. I know it probably needs setting up properly with the new charger but is there anything I can do before I go down this route. cheers
  16. Its in, its running and its bloody loud. Only problem is that there is smoke coming the back of the engine. I think it is just oil and 'gunk' buring off the manifold (I hope) unless anyone can think of anything else it may be before I go for a spin
  17. It all sounds so simple. Headlight screw is shagged from what I remember but i'll prob just drop the bumper off and suppose I may as well take off the rad and clean it out. I've politely asked john betz to change the fitting instructions for the charger. If it said stick the oil feeds on first and let them hang under the charger you could easily slip them onto the charger at the end. Just cant get in after to slip them onto the engine
  18. After spending all day fitting a new lysholm on my C following Bahn Brenners instructions I have ran into a problem. After I got over the problem of not being able to get the lower charger bracket off - the alen head rounded its self off , I made up time and just have an oil feed to put on tomorrow. Only problem is now I cant get the secondary oil feed pipe on that runs by the oil filter. If the instructions had said - attach new pipe and secure on before charger is fitted I think I may be able to get at it - just. Has anyone replaced this pipe with the charger in place before? Or maybe take the bumper off - or the charger off again  I wouldn't mind but its a bloody struggle on your own.

  21. It did not die mate. Its owner was so happy to find it alive
  22. Your lucky they are only winter wheels mate. My boss bought some gold Oz's for his bike and some blue pfm supersport discs and calipers. Over 2k's worth. Fitted them and decided to clean them with some cleaner his neighbour was using on his car. The bike was wet and he did not rinse the wheels off after. Next day they were all crazed with white streaks and zig zags. = one gutted boss and embarassed neighbour It sounds like you have got some kind of reaction between the two paints. I believe this is quite common but i'm sure someone can shed some more light on this
  23. opps i meant bentley. Got it through http://www.SUPERBOOKDEALS.COM . And yes its massive and yellow. No one has mentioned any tax so I should not end up paying any.
  24. Bargain. Worked out at about £45 posted brand new. Did not realise they were so bloody big. Nearly justified the price.
  25. So what would I make with a lysholm, fmic and a 1.9 conversion 8) Nobody say a racket.
