Depends what you read actually. And I found when, erm, testing it in the snow, 15mph seemed to be when it gave up and stopped trying to keep the wheels at the same speed. pretty(99%) sure :? thats what it says in the owners handbook...though as its in the car and its bloody freezing i'll have to have a look tomorrow  had a good long look through my handbook and could find no reference to traction control let alone the operating speed of it :? ....so god knows where i got my info :?
-
and here is a rhd g-60........though doesn't look like its got abs....but shows that the clutch/brake fluid reservoir is always above the clutch pedal
-
all that typing.......your keyboard must be red-hot :onfire:     though it is more for the american-spec vr6's as our vr6 engine code is abv not aaa(and of course 2.9l not 2.8l) i'm sure a fair bit of it will apply to ours....so good work anyway m8
-
just a thought  ....maybe as nigel's one is from a lhd car that the reservoir is built on top,as this,if its fitted to the same side as mine and joe's would be above the clutch pedal,as i cant see the clutch/brake fluid reservoir being positioned at the other side from the pedal :? (i'm sure all that makes sense :? :? :? )
-
very confusing :? :? i would agree with joe too as mine is also on the passenger side(rhd) bulkhead quite a bit away from the brake/clutch fluid reservoir......though i'm pretty sure mine is manufactured by ATE.......maybe nigel's one is bosch? :?

Difficult to tell really from a photo, but it definitely doesn't look helios blue - looks more like the colour of Scott Lester's old Mk2, which was a factory colour I cannot remember the name of :) i definitely don't think it helios blue either....as helios blue is also a mk1 gti colour.....and they never made mk1's in the colour of that golf in those pics

its actually only works up to 25mph.....i'll get me coat

right scott m8....the standard discs are 280mm....the cheapest and most minor upgrade you can get is ATE power groove discs from euro-car-parts they are approx £3 per disc dearer than the standard one listed by themselves and approx £5 per disc cheaper than what a stealer would charge and cos they're ATE they are o/e or better standard hth
-
no problem  ....though see what i mean about a popular myth  and don't worry m8 you don't have to buy me a pint
-
thats what i mean about a popular myth   all mk3 gti 16v's and vr6's got 288mm discs from the 96 model year....that is any september 95 build dates onwards seriously darren next time you have a standard 96(which would have been built no-later than jul95 btw) corrado vr6 in check the brakes.....i think you'll find i'm right....if i'm wrong then i'll buy you a pint at inters :D and one other thing to prove it.....phone your local stealer's parts dept....there is only 1 listing for discs for corrado vr6's.....280mm :)
-
i'm afraid thats a popular myth....all vr6 corrado's came with the 280mm discs and they never changed sizes at all....my storm which has an april 95 built date and which was registered in december 95 has 280 mm discs corrado production if i remember rightly was stopped in jun/jul 95

just seen this post on the yahoo corrado-uk e-group i know wales is a big place but hopefully some of you welsh guys can keep an eye out for it...........as it sounds a bit dodgy

aberdeen being quite an oil-rich industry area has quite a fair bit of top exotica here......i've actually filled up my wife's ka at the pump next to where a young blonde(mid-late 20's)has been filling up a ferrari f-50 8) at the local shell garage and i can also remember seeing not 1 but 2 8) 8) jaguar xj-220's in a queue of traffic on the main street in aberdeen
-
a bit too far south to be central for me and my old-fart music
-
hi all, spied my first R32 on saturday morning up here in aberdeen......pretty impressive in the flesh 8) ...a lot better than it looks in the mags seems to go pretty quickly too  anyone else seen one yet??
-
when are you planning heading down to inters then?.....as i'll be convoying down approx 5am on the friday...if you're interested that is also there is a vwccgb scottish region rolling-road day at star-performance(glenrothes)on sunday 16th march(still tbc)....can you manage that?
-

-

-
i take it by your handle its a g-60 you've got?....if thats the case then its 92 model year g-60's that have abs fitted as standard...though earlier ones (i think) had them as a optional extra........if you don't have abs i wouldn't be too bothered...its just something else to go expensively wrong hth

if you can get into the boot there will be a colour code sticker...if its not there then its probably been rear-ended  or you could try in the inside of the o/s/f wing between the airbox and wing there is a wee red/orange sticker with the colour code and german name for the colour....then if you have a look on the vwccgb website undr tech tips(i think) you'll be able to match thecode to the colour or it could have been re-sprayed a differant colour from a vw one...though i think i have seen this colour once before on an early corrado hth
