  1. ok found out that 21 is the indicators relay, the one below marked 67 is relay no. 12 then :) this one looks pretty burnt
  2. dont see a no.12 relay, theres a no 21 on the top right of the layout? pulled this one out and one of the connectors is pretty brown, cleaned it up but still nothing
  3. anyone tell me where this is on a 2.0ltr 16v? managed to get the alarm to switch off but now when i put ignition on i dont get the usual whirrr from behind (im guesisng this is the fuel pump), consequently the starter turns fine but nothing catches
  4. tried connecting with the ignition off several times, alarm is just on straight away not sure what you mean by "just slave in the swiyth? to eliminate it" theres a box mounted in front of the coolant reservoir that has numbers and "12v" on it, it has 2 plugs going into the bottom and a clear flip up lid on the top side with 2 screws underneath, what does this do? :)
  5. having problems with a VW fitted 900/901 series alarm/immobiliser (1992), small square black keyfob with blue volkswagen script on top this may be a bit complicated but worth a shot before i call out an electrician the car has been sitting for a while (battery 6 months old and fully charged) and when i reconnect the battery the alarm is activated immediately (LED on, wasnt the case before), using the setup sequence given in the manual (ignition on, reconnect battery (i get a loud relay type click from the dizzy cap area on doing this), ignition off, press keyfob for 10 seconds) this doesnt work and the LED is still on (it used to before) however using this sequence the alarm/LED is off when you first reconnect, when trying to start you hear the starter motor turn but nothing catches, the moment the ignition is back in the off postion the alarm light is back on and cant be switched off, it actually started once after MANY tries using this setup procedure but i have been unable to replicate it, on that occasion i heard the fuel pump (or ABS?) spin up for 1/2 seconds as it usually does, and the engine started right away basically theres a relay or switch (the click i usually hear when i reconnect the battery and the ignition is on) thats cutting the fuelling or some such, but its odd how it worked once and not again im going to try a new battery for the keyfob (currently using the spare that ive never used before but is 10 yrs old) but is there also a way of resetting the alarm/immobilizer manually? thanks for listening :)
