It's a personal taste thing at the end of the day.

Got yourself a right bargin there!

Personally I'd go for the Focal's fella, but it depends on what speaker combo you prefer the sound of. I believe the focal speakers you have are highly rated, I believe one mag said they are the best components you can get for under £250, but that was about a year ago... still bound to be good though.

Alpine or nothing, had my MP3 head unit for 2 years haven't had one fault with it. Superb sound and features. I'd only ever swap it for a newer/higher spec Alpine or a Nakamichi.

Hmm maybe I should get it checked out!

Thats more the worry for me... finding a decent fitter. Anyone know a decent place in the essex area?

I think the aux belt has been replaced, water pump has been changed, not sure about the chains/tensioners. It's on 110k at the mo, but runs fine (touch wood). Not sure where the noise is coming from. It doesn't bother me too much, just a bit embarrasing at times.

Hello guys, When my VR is cold I have these strange squealing/squeaking noises coming from the lump, it sounds like the automotive equivelant of an episode of the Clangers. Anyhow, this disapears after 10 or so minutes of driving. Should I be worried about this? Does anyone else have silly animated mice installed in their VR?

I know that feature started doing my head in on the golf. Think I may go with the Toad... stick to what you know an' all that.
-
Cheers for the prompt replys guys, I would've stuck to the Toad but I didn't know if there were any new systems with all the bells and whistles for similar money. Heard mixed comments about Cliffords so I'm a bit unsure. Chris does your Ai606 link up with the total closure facility?

Hey guys, Looking to upgrade my security in the not to distant, just wanted peoples recommendations on alarms for my beloved rado. Obviously I'll be wanting total closure and CAT 1 status. I had a Toad Ai606 in my golf which I didn't have any complains about. Are there any new systems out there I need to know about? Cheers. James

It completely standard at the moment. I also think that i'm losing a little low down torque, it definately feels slower than it did a few months ago. I think I may have to stick it on the rollers to see what its putting out. Anyone know of any decent rolling road tuners in the Essex area?

I've suspected something is up with my corrado for a little while and I have changed numerous parts to cure the niggle. The problem is that while the idle is steady its not silky smooth as it was a few months back, i've also noticed a slight pop when reved to just over 2000 rpm from the exhaust. I don't recall this before. I have had the diagnostics checked with no faults, i've had the coil pack, Ht leads, cam sensor, engine speed sensor, spark plugs, head gasket and water pump changed in the several months leading up to this. Has anyone had a similar problem? Cheers.

Recently bought a sebring back box for my VR but when I came to fit the thing, there didn't seem to be a join between the back box and the mid section. Am I just being a dumbass? The mount on the new box did seem different to the original. Has anyone had experience of this? Is it worth getting the whole system done from cat back rather than just fitting the box? Cheers.

The sunroof on my rado has been working fine until a month ago when I locked the car using the total closure from fully open. As the panel slides out to 3/4 of the way closed it seems to jump up a few mm, thus scratching the paint (bugger!). I can counteract this by holding the panel down, but it ain't the most practical way. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Hello guys, I'm not having much luck with my rado at the moment. Wonder if you can help. I've got a bangin' under the car, whenever I go over a bump or turn left. It sounds like the exhaust is hanging off! I suspect it may have something to do with the driveshaft. I had a look under the car, the exhaust is solid and there doesn't seem to be any interference of parts. It sounds like the cv joints but instead of a clicking its a bangin'.

cheers kevhaywire, I try that first before doing the whole lot.

Hello everyone, Does anyone know of any decent garages in the Essex area, I live in Harlow? I need somewhere I can trust to do some head work to my VR6, as I've taken my car out of vw to get the work done cheaper elsewhere. Please help. Cheers guys.

Hey guys, It's coming to that time again when the tread is waring down a tad on the old boots. I was gunning for either Toyo's or BF G's, what would you recommend for reasonable money. I don't want to spend the earth for some pirelli's. Cheers dudes.
-
Yep it's Stainless, brand new. Can't wait to hear the VR6 howl through it. I may get the rest of the system done at the same time as fitting, cat back Stainless steel from powerflow. What would you guys recommend? I don't want it too loud, but I want it to bark when I boot it.

A friend of mine has offered me a 4'' round Sebring back box for my standard VR6, just wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with Sebring? I was thinking of mating it to a S/S CAT back system from powerflow or getting the link pipes from supersprint. What do you think? I'm more interested in the sound it'll make rather than any gain in power. Cheers fellas/ladeez.

Corrado Spotting Archive February 2005
COR VR replied to Roger Blassberg's topic in General Car Chat
I was behind a Silver rado the other sunday, M reg VR. (see harlow rado thread) I think he left a note on my car. Also I've seen a mint purple VR down lower sheering. Anyone? -
Hello to you all, This is my first thread on the forum, I must say I'm impressed that people share the same love as I do for their cars. I'd just like to say cheers to the guy in the silver rado, that left the note about the site. I was following him the other day out of Harlow. My car is the 93 (k) indian red VR6. I'm glad he didn't want to race as I would've been severely embarrassed, as my hall sender is playing up. Cheers guys, James.
