  1. Hey Jim I see you got yourself a GTTDi....excellent choice and in the best colour!! My mate has one of these too in silver....they are really nice and pull really well too. You got any mods planned for the future?? did you manage to go to inters this year?? i went and got Pi$$£& on! the weather was real bad on the saturday, sun came up for a few hours on sunday but was followed by some heavy rain. Anyway if you missed the show you can have a gander at this highlight reel i made of inter....you will like the end bit i'm sure!! (low res version, so keep the window width small: 320 for better quality movie) gti 2005
  2. true it will always be a diesel passat estate....but at least i will save a bob or two on hotel rooms
  3. thanks for all the comments guys.....a couple of mods i plan to do just to finish it off inlcuding some FK automotive Angel Eye headlight units, Coilovers to slam it to the tarmac, RS4 style chrome roof bars and a smoked tint to the windows....managed to persuade my brothers mate who does tints to do the whole lot for £170...bargain!! :D
  4. The new owner was from middlesborough and a real enthusiast. He came with his dad who was currently working on a MK2 1.8T project and recently completed a MK2 VR6 conversion. I told him all about the forum when he took the car and even gave him the web address...looks like he gone AWOL?? The wheels came with the car 18" RS4's
  5. A few months ago I bought JimG60 http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... highlight= however due to a new job I very very reluctantly had to sell the rado and buy something more fuel efficent and with 4doors. Was gutted when the car went it was such a beauty....and to be honest the idea of getting a 4door diesel was slightly depressing however after visiting inters i was inspired and after some hard searching around the various forums/trader/ebay I managed to find this immaculate colour codded de-badged Passat Estate 1.9TDI from Wigan, FVWSH and 55mpg...what more can i say?? :D
  6. So its not a pug then, on the link it shows "corrado vs peugot" but any way here is the link with a load more Vdubs burning some rubber for all your viewing pleasure http://www.eurotuned.com/vw/Multimedia.htm the flash movie of the gti vs civic is classic :-P
  7. Found this MPEG on the net...the pug misses a gear but still manages to keep up with the corrado which seems to be struggling somewhat however manages to creep pass...wonder what the engine is (not a vr6 or g60 by the sounds of it)...what you reckon pps?? http://media.eurotuned.com/Volkswagen_n ... eugot.mpeg
  8. Will enjoy putting the Digi Cam to some good use...watch this space!
  9. F***ING B***ARDS!! So sorry to hear that mate gutted for you, I took all the badges off my G60 just to make it look a lot less attractive to them theiving B***ARDS out there! The laws in this country are crap! the punishment for theft is B***OCKS thats why they have no fear of doing or getting caught. I tell you what thoug, people might say countries like Saudi Arabia have barbaric punishment (theft=hand chopped off) but I tell you one thing people over there leave there houses, cars, shops unlocked all the time, why? because no one has the b*lls to risk loosing a hand! Will look out for you up here in W.Yorkshire too!
  10. If our busses were like these, might even consider leaving the Rado in the garage! http://www.nonstop.lv/files/coolbus.mpeg
  11. Tried to change the headlamp bulb on the G60 today and failed. Removed the air box to get some more room to manoeuvre took off the back cap to get the bulb but it was held securely in with a clip which wouldn’t release. I gave up after 20mins and even if I had managed to get the clip off and change the bulb, god knows how on earth I would have got the clip back on again with such little room to operate. Anyone had similar problems...do I need to remove the entire headlamp from the body to change this small bulb? Will try again in the morning.
  12. Im from Bradford WestYorkshire, the drive back was most enjoyable, the G60 really has a good amount of torque and the leather interior makes the ride very comfortable!! Thanks for all the welcomes guys! will keep you posted on the G60 development...got a few things planned but nothing major as Jim has really made this a complete car!!
  13. Alright ppl My name is Bobby, I am the lucky owner of Jims G60 Rado....it drove beautifully on the way back to Yorkshire, well pleased with it...cheers Jim and dont worry I will look after it as my older brother has been well into his dubs for years! Just to tempt you Jim below is a pic of my brothers old vr6 highline which has now been sold to another enthusiast in Northampton and his old mk2 golf g60 with raylle front end. Regards Bobby
