I had similar issues Chris with the ABS light coming on randomly and then if you stopped for petrol and the restarted it would go off again until some other random moment. VAG.COM reported the left rear oulet valve yet everyone here recommended a new pump. I got a secondhand pump through the parts gateway Part No. 1H2 614 217 on my VR6. Part cost just over £100 and a local VW guy fitted it when my car was in for a service. All fine now 2 months on.

Got mine through the Parts Gateway for just over £100. Part number for the VR6 version is 1H2 614 217 A.

I had 00276 ABS Outlet Valve; Left Rear (N136). Everyone I spoke to suggested the pump was dead or on its way out. Had a new pump fitted and now my ABS and the ABS light are working correctly.

I think I read somewhere on here that they were different on the VR's. Best to check the part number on the top of the unit before buying a replacement. Part No. 1H2 614 217 A on my 95 VR6 if that helps. Thanks for everyones advice.

My ABS light has not come back on for the last few weeks but I've ordered a replacement pump anyway through the parts gateway. Hopefully this will do the trick. If anyone else has had this fault code and resolved it another way please let me know. Thanks. 00276 - ABS Outlet Valve: Left Rear (N136)

4months in and I'm still thoroughly enjoying corrado ownership but MOT coming up next month and I would appreciate ABS advice. I've got the following error on my 95 VR6. VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-S Control Module Part Number: 1H0 907 379 E Component and/or Version: ABS/EDS TEVES 04 1 Fault Found: 00276 - ABS Outlet Valve: Left Rear (N136) 35-00 - - My local vw specialist and previous owner suggested pump replacements but I have read all sorts of other success stories on here changing sensors and valve blocks etc. Before I start stocking up on 2nd hand parts has anyone had this very same fault and fixed it? Thanks

Same plates Mr.ots. Considering returning the car to its original though. Mark didn't want his plates so I guess I'll put them on retention and up for sale at some point. Thanks for the advice. I think I'd better start saving again as Mark took everything off me in return for this lovely motor so there will be no futher spending for a while. I'm advised its been fed on Shell Optimax for the last 4 years at least so that will continue. At the moment I'm not sure whether to run the car daily or mainly weekends but either way it will be treated with care. Cheers for the Pic.

Nice one. Appreciate all the comments and advice guys. Spoke to Vince at Stealth Racing earlier and he knows my car. I still can't get my head round that! I'm so used to taking my Golf to the stealers and being treated like a numpty that I kind of got used to it. Everyone in the Corrado world I've spoken to so far is really friendly and helpful. I feel my life has changed for the better since this purchase. Give yourselves a pat an the back. Well done everyone. :D

Thanks for the warm welcome. If you all had to give one piece of advice to a new VR6 owner what would it be?

Hello all I went out shopping on Sunday and came back with a Mystic Blue Storm previously owned and meticulously maintained by StormVR6. Always been a vw golf man but decided it was time to try the car I'd admired for years. So the wife now has my Golf Mk4 GTI Turbo so she is very happy and I have not stopped smiling since Sunday. Hope to meet some of you in the future and I'm definatley going to need the support of this forum in order to keep my new motor tip top. All the best JS
