Brand new corrado vr6 timing chain guide worn already?? PICTURES INSIDE!
VAG-hag replied to paceo's topic in Engine Bay
USA mk4 golfs had 12v vr6 lumps. The yellow tensioner was fitted to these as a revised part to replace the 2 piece black one. A pre sprung bolt went with it to suit. :thumbleft: -

Yes mate. Also known as the banana. -
Agreed. mine has been way under that and I've only ever done preventative maintainence jobs so could have spent even less if I was a leave it to fail kinda guy. Goog cars do come up fs Mr poster, worth waiting and travelling for the right one.

I'll take this mate. Pm sent

Steering rack available. Working when removed and solid. How soon do you need it as I'll be at stealth in a week or two so could meet you?? Happy to discuss via pm etc.

If I was you I'd Google the hell out of it to see how much stretch you want on the 9's as a start. For the 7.5's 205 will be fine and at a guess 215 for the 9's would work depending on your car..... How low it is/ arch work etc. Plenty of guys on here have run 9 inch rims and a number of those have had same wheel. Good choice by the way, borbet a suit the corrado no end! Good luck :)

There are 2 kinds of bolt, do they possibly not lend them selves to opposing tensioners? -
What I'm suggesting it putting power straight to motor if you can reach it. Take a battery add wires, send 12v from battery direct to terminals on motor from battery :)
-
Have you tried sending 12v straight to the motor?
-
Yeah sounds like you still have power. Have you tried to press the switch while simultaneously persuading the seat in the right direction?
-
Are both functions not working now?
-
Love the new livery mate! Very cool

No worries buddy. But if this I don't fit you may have a non corrado rack
-
So I finally grabbed it mate! 100mm between holes ;) off a 93 vr6 though I believe that all models had the same rack..... I will happily send pics if you wish but it's yours if you want it. Cheers

Crikey o/s is protected by sump too. Mine was kept lubricated by a leaky engine so flew out :). The n/s however. What a beast!! I'm enjoying your thread btw mate :)
